The Cross of Christ

Jesus, on the cross, is mocked in Calvary as the King of the Jews, Luke 23:36-37 (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Golgotha, (John 19:17) 18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, one on either side, and Jesus in the center. 19 Now Pilate wrote a title and put it on the cross. And the writing was:

JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

20 Then many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, Greek, and Latin.

Recently I had encounters with two separate people–one local female who goes door to door, accompanied by students, teaching christian scriptures and one male “christian pastor,” located clear across the country, who, like me, makes blog entries unto a site we both visit.

Both of these people, the teacher and pastor, hold the same view–that the cross upon which Jesus Christ was crucified is considered idolatry.  The female teacher was overheard, by me, to emphatically state “I see so many homes that I visit, with people having crosses on their walls and it’s idolatry!”

I held my peace because I, too, was a visitor but not attending the teaching as I was in the next room, however, within hearing distance, reading a magazine. I bit my lower lip, clamped my jaw shut, and held my peace.

This kind of teaching is very hard to hear since it totally contradicts the cross and it’s purpose and to declare that it’s idolatry, well…

A few days later, I ran into the “christian pastor.” I merely mentioned that I had encountered the teaching that the cross is considered idolatry. Lo and behold, this “christian pastor,” agreed with the female teacher and supported the idea that yes, the cross is considered idolatry!  Holding my breath, I asked him how is the cross idolatry?

I wish I had saved his response because I would quote it now but he has since removed the entire conversation from the comments section where we were talking. I can paraphrase to say that “the cross takes the attention from God and anything like that ‘grieves’ Him.”

Yes, I was stunned.  I responded that I am guilty of believing in the cross, believing in Jesus Christ and the gift of the Holy Spirit. I wear crosses; they are symbolic to my faith.  I use them to inspire people to ask questions about my christian faith. My crosses do not have Christ hanging from it since He is no longer there but is alive and well.

I may state that no where does the bible state that the cross is considered idolatry, per se.

The Cross is:

the fulfillment of prophecy:

  • 28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” (John 19:28)
  • 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
  • 31 Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day, that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day), the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away. 32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with Him. 33 But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His legs. 34 But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out. 35 And he who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true; and he knows that he is telling the truth, so that you may believe. 36 For these things were done that the Scripture should be fulfilled, “Not one of His bones shall be broken.” 37 And again another Scripture says, “They shall look on Him whom they pierced.”  (John 19:30-36)

effective:

  • For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect. 1 Cor 1:17

offensive:

  • And I, brethren, if I still preach circumcision, why do I still suffer persecution? Then the offense of the cross has ceased. Gal 5:11

glory only in the cross/boastful:

  • But God forbid that I should boast except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Gal 6:14

reconciliation to God:

  • and that He might reconcile them both to God in one body through the cross, thereby putting to death the enmity.  Eph 2:16

His death:

  • And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. Philippians 2:8

enemies of the cross:

  • For many walk, of whom I have told you often, and now tell you even weeping, that they are the enemies of the cross of Christ: Philippians 3:18

peace through the blood of His cross:

  • and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross. Colossians 1:20

handwriting of requirements:

  • having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out-of-the-way, having nailed it to the cross. Colossians 2:14

enduring the Cross:

  • looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Heb 12:2

I note that the word “cross” means to cut across, cut through, cross over from one area to another area; in this case, Jesus crossed over from death unto eternal life.

Oftentimes, when I think of Jesus Christ I think of the Cross; when I think of the Cross, I think of Jesus Christ–they are synonymous with each other; tied intrinsically into history and the future.

Abide In Me Cross

Abide In Me Cross

  • The LORD your God Himself crosses over before you; He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them (Deut 31:3)

I urgently caution everyone to beware of biblical teachings, know the scriptures read them daily, seek the Lord for their true meanings, do research by checking your sources; read the dictionary for meanings, check the Jewish Encyclopedia and Strong’s Concordance.

The name of the LORD is a strong tower; The righteous run to it and are safe. (Proverbs 18:10)

Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ

So what makes the name of  the Lord Jesus so powerful that even the demons (evil spirit, devil or fiend)  run at the sound of it?

In the Christian Holy Bible, in the Book of Matthew 1:21, an angel declares to Joseph, Virgin Mary’s future husband, “And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

The angel was prophesying the purpose of the birth of the Lord Jesus who will save His people from their sins–a Savior!

The Lord Jesus went about the countryside preaching the gospel and healing those with infirmities using His supernatural (supernatural mid 15c., “above nature, transcending nature, belonging to a higher realm,”) abilities:

All the ways of a man are pure in his own eyes, But the LORD weighs the spirits. (Proverbs 16:2)

  • …and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by Him of their infirmities (Luke 5:15)
  • And He was preaching in their synagogues throughout all Galilee, and casting out demons. (Mark 1:39)

Listed below are several examples of individuals being delivered or released from evil spirits by the Lord Jesus Christ and by the seventy who were followers of the Lord Jesus invoking the name of “Jesus.”

Mary Magdalene:

  • Now when He rose early on the first day of the week, He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons. (Mark 16:9)
  • and certain women who had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities—Mary called Magdalene, out of whom had come seven demons (Luke 8:2)

The demon-possessed man:

  • 26 Then they sailed to the country of the Gadarenes, which is opposite Galilee. 27 And when He stepped out on the land, there met Him a certain man from the city who had demons for a long time. And he wore no clothes, nor did he live in a house but in the tombs. 28 When he saw Jesus, he cried out, fell down before Him, and with a loud voice said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I beg You, do not torment me!” 29 For He had commanded the unclean spirit to come out of the man. For it had often seized him, and he was kept under guard, bound with chains and shackles; and he broke the bonds and was driven by the demon into the wilderness.
  • Jesus asked him, saying, “What is your name?” And he said, “Legion,” because many demonshad entered him.
    Demoniac

    Demoniac

    (Luke 8:30)

Can you imagine a legion?  A legion in the Roman infantry of men is from 3,000 to 6,000!

  • 31 And they begged Him that He would not command them to go out into the abyss. 32 Now a herd of many swine was feeding there on the mountain. So they begged Him that He would permit them to enter them. And He permitted them. 33 Then the demons went out of the man and entered the swine, and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the lake and drowned. (Luke 8:31-33)

The Seventy:

  • Then the seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name.” (Luke 10:17)

The Mute:

  • And He was casting out a demon, and it was mute. So it was, when the demon had gone out, that the mute spoke; and the multitudes marveled. (Luke 11:14)

Of course, Jesus was empowered by the Holy Spirit to create His miracles of deliverance.  He promised His followers, the baptism of the Holy Spirit:

  • And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me; for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”

Call on the name of the Lord Jesus; establish a relationship, get baptized in the Holy Spirit so you, too, can be empowered to cast out demons in His name:

  • 21 And it shall come to pass That whoever calls on the name of the Lord Shall be saved. (Acts 2:21)

Recently I viewed the DVD movie Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed, a 2008 documentary film produced, hosted, and narrated by Ben Stein.

“The film contends that the mainstream science establishment suppresses academics who believe they see evidence of intelligent design in nature and who criticize evidence supporting Darwinian evolution and the modern evolutionary synthesis as a mainstream conspiracy to keep God out of science laboratories and classrooms.” (source: Wikipedia)

I’ve heard about the theory of evolution and I would, quite frankly, smile and laugh privately until I saw the “evolution” of the Darwinian theory in the film and it’s impact on the belief in God imposed by those who do not believe in or practice Christianity leading to the destruction of the freedom of religion, speech, and utilizing Darwin’s theory of natural selection by annihilating millions of  Jewish people without regard to age, including children,  in the Holocaust (who many still believe never took place, despite the overwhelming evidence).

Of course, a person who doesn’t believe in a God who created the heavens, the earth, and man is called atheism. Evolution leads to atheism leads to eugenics leads to Holocaust and Nazi Germany.

So how does a man who lived in the 1800′s have so much influence even today for non-believers?

  • Charles Robert Darwin FRS (12 February 1809 – 19 April 1882) was an English naturalist. He established that all species of life have descended over time from common ancestors, and proposed the scientific theory that this branching pattern of evolution resulted from a process that he called natural selection.
  • Darwin published his theory with compelling evidence for evolution in his 1859 book On the Origin of Species, overcoming scientific rejection of earlier concepts of transmutation of species. By the 1870s the scientific community and much of the general public had accepted evolution as a fact. However, many favoured competing explanations and it was not until the emergence of the modern evolutionary synthesis from the 1930s to the 1950s that a broad consensus developed in which natural selection was the basic mechanism of evolution. In modified form, Darwin’s scientific discovery is the unifying theory of the life sciences, explaining the diversity of life. (source: Wikipedia)

Darwin did not “know” God.   He was a “naturalist”.  He didn’t have a divine relationship with God.  He didn’t know he could have known the Lord or he did and just rejected the possibility of a living God and remained spiritually blind.

I saw the same concept by British biologist, Richard Dawkins, founder of Richard Dawkins Foundation for Reason and Science.  When pressed for an understanding of where or how man was created, he actually admitted he really didn’t know but the possibility of man being “seeded,” by others in the universe (aliens)!

  • Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Genesis 1:26)

God in His creativity made the heavens, the earth and man.  He created the DNA or the pattern by which flows all life, in the natural sense, but He reserved “His Spirit” by breathing life into man when He created Adam, God’s first created human.

So what is DNA?

  • DNA is Deoxyribonucleic acid a nucleic acid containing the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms (with the exception of RNA viruses). The DNA segments carrying this genetic information are called genes. Likewise, other DNA sequences have structural purposes, or are involved in regulating the use of this genetic information. Along with RNA and proteins, DNA is one of the three major macromolecules that are essential for all known forms of life.  (source: Wikipedia).

Altering the DNA process is called Eugenics:

  • “Eugenics is the “applied science or the bio-social movement which advocates the use of practices aimed at improving the genetic composition of a population“, usually referring to the manipulation of human populations. The origins of the concept of eugenics began with certain interpretations of Mendelian inheritance, and the theories of August Weismann.  Historically, many of the practitioners of eugenics viewed eugenics as a science, not necessarily restricted to human populations; this embraced the views of Darwinism and Social Darwinism.” (source: Wikipedia)
  • Artificial gene synthesis is the process of synthesizing a gene in vitro without the need for initial template DNA samples. The main method is currently by oligonucleotide synthesis (also used for other applications) from digital genetic sequences and subsequent annealing of the resultant fragments. In contrast, natural DNA replication requires existing DNA templates for synthesizing new DNA. (source: Wikipedia)

Eugenics and Artificial Gene Synthesis is a mouthful but won’t change that it’s altering the original gene.  This is contrary to God’s pattern of life–the original creator of life–the Master Designer.

Remember, God regretted creating man because of their evil wickedness when the fallen angels “took” wives for themselves of all whom they chose, causing the women to give birth to the giants, because the gene was altered:

  • Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart. So the Lord said, “I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth, both man and beast, creeping thing and birds of the air, for I am sorry that I have made them.” (Genesis 6:5-7)

God caused the flood that covered the earth, destroying everyone and everything with the exception of Noah, who walked with God.

Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed (Super Trailer)

To deny creationism is to deny the original Creator, God.  Initially, I asked how does such a person (Darwin) have so much influence?
  • “Nothing is so fatal to religion as indifference.”  Edmund Burke, Letter to William Smith (January 1795)
  • “All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing.” Edmund Burke 1770

Ancient Book of Psalms 83

Ancient Book of Psalms 83

The Fadden More Psalters an ancient tattered manuscript, was discovered after being buried for hundreds of years by a turf digger in County Tipperary bog in 2006 in Ireland making it their “dead sea scroll” antiquity.

This is the makings of a mystery steeped in biblical history.  The Fadden More Psalter is a book of psalms.

It is said to be one of the most significant discoveries in archaeology for decades.

But what’s really eerie, is that the book, muddied when found, was opened to Psalms 83:

Psalm 83

Do not keep silent, O God!
Do not hold Your peace,
And do not be still, O God!
For behold, Your enemies make a tumult;
And those who hate You have lifted up their head.
They have taken crafty counsel against Your people,
And consulted together against Your sheltered ones.
They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation,
That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.”

For they have consulted together with one consent;
They form a confederacy against You:
The tents of Edom and the Ishmaelites;
Moab and the Hagrites;
Gebal, Ammon, and Amalek;
Philistia with the inhabitants of Tyre;
Assyria also has joined with them;
They have helped the children of Lot. Selah

Deal with them as with Midian,
As with Sisera,
As with Jabin at the Brook Kishon,
10 Who perished at En Dor,
Who became as refuse on the earth.
11 Make their nobles like Oreb and like Zeeb,
Yes, all their princes like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 Who said, “Let us take for ourselves
The pastures of God for a possession.”

13 O my God, make them like the whirling dust,
Like the chaff before the wind!
14 As the fire burns the woods,
And as the flame sets the mountains on fire,
15 So pursue them with Your tempest,
And frighten them with Your storm.
16 Fill their faces with shame,
That they may seek Your name, O Lord.
17 Let them be confounded and dismayed forever;
Yes, let them be put to shame and perish,
18 That they may know that You, whose name alone is the Lord,
Are the Most High over all the earth.

  • “Conservationists have spent the past five years painstakingly preserving the vellum pages and leather cover and the psalter, which dates from 800 AD, now sits centre stage at a new exhibition in the National Museum in Dublin. (Source: Independent.ie)”
  • “The manuscript was probably written in about 800 in one of a number of monasteries in the area. A unique feature is that the inside of the leather cover is lined with papyrus, probably as a stiffening, an indication of the links between the Irish and Coptic churches at the time. After several years of conservation work, the psalter went on display at the National Museum of Ireland in Kildare St, Dublin in June 2011.”
  • “When found, the book was opened to a page displaying Psalm 83 (in the Septuagint numbering), which corresponds with Psalm 84 in the Masoretic numbering used in most English-language translations.  Due to confusion regarding differences in numbering the Psalms, some news sites implied that the Psalter was open at the Masoretic Psalm 83. That psalm contains such lines as “They have said, Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation; that the name of Israel may be no more in remembrance”; this reference to the attempted destruction of Israel connected the find in some people’s minds with the contemporaneous 2006 Israel-Lebanon conflict. The matter was clarified by the director of the National Museum of Ireland, who pointed out the difference in Septuagint vs. Masoretic numbering and that the displayed psalm contains no reference to the destruction of Israel.” (source: Wikipedia)

Can God’s long arm reach out of ancient history and speak to us today?  Sure!

Although Psalm 83 is in the Septuagint numbering vs Masoretic numbering a praise and worship Psalm 84, I wonder…?

Psalms 83 is searching for God’s protection.  Anyone who has a need could use it to seek God in times of trouble.

Watchers 3 Review

For thus has the Lord said to me: “Go, set a watchman, Let him declare what he sees.” (Isaiah 21:6)

In viewing the Watchers3 DVD, a documentary, I was totally inspired by the author’s perspective regarding the rapid global events taking place .

I was reminded of the scriptures relative to the watchman on the wall (a person who stands and watches or guards people, property, or events and sounds the alarm of wrongdoing).

Morally, we are accountable for our actions or failure of our actions if we see something amiss and do not take the necessary steps to immediately correct it.  God will hold us accountable if we see a wrong and fail to warn or correct it:

  • But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’  (Ezekiel 33:6)

The Watchers 3 author, LA Marzulli of the Nephilim trilogy series, has taken the watchman on the wall responsibility seriously and “reports” what he sees are events that require further scrutiny and/or clarification.

He explores, probes, scrutinizes events, interviews experts, professors and doctors.

He investigates the possibility of the supernatural phenomena and its impact on:

  • changes in celestial patterns depicting two suns and the shifting of the moon;

    Shroud of Turin

  • the turbulent turmoil in the middle eastern nations called the Arab Spring;
  • questions the scientific authenticity of the findings of the Shroud of Turin with Barrie Schwortz, original photographer of the Shroud.
  • interviews leading rabbis in the mystery of the Torah Codes;
  • interviews Dr. Roger Liery who professes to have removed microchip alien implants;
  • reviews the Hopi Indian prophecies with author, Stan Deyo, “Due to tectonic activity, ‘I think what’s going to happen is we’re going to have a catastrophic break up of the West Coast,’ that will lead to the flooding of Hopi mesas in the Southwest’;
  • examines the strange sights and sounds being heard around the world.

The 70 minute DVD video is packed with experts in the fields of  science, partical physics, and biblical theology.

It is well worth your effort to educate yourself on this very real phenomena.

A Sefer Torah, the traditional form of the Hebrew Bible, is a scroll of parchment. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

“The secret things belong to the LORD our God, but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this law.  (Deuteronomy 29:29)

As a newbie in Christ about 18 yrs ago, I was massively curious and thirsty for the word, for what Christ was doing in using the common man to show His will, what He was doing to effect our day.

I came across a  tv program about Bible Codes and a book published in 1997 by Michael Drosnin  explaining the theory of ELS (Equidistant Letter Sequence) hidden messages found in the Torah (the first five books of the Bible).

I wondered if it was at all possible that God really did embed secret messages inside the bible but would have to wait until man could understand how to unravel its principles or even reveal warnings of events to happen including the assassinations of  US President John F. Kennedy in November 22, 1963, and Israeli Prime Minister  Yitzhak Rabin in November 4, 1995

It’s well worth your effort to buy it and learn from his understanding and applying the principle of using ELS to unlock the secrets hidden in the Torah.

“The Bible code (Hebrew: צפנים בתנ”ך‎), also known as the Torah code, is a purported set of secret messages encoded within the text Hebrew Bible and describing prophesies and other guidance regarding the future. This hidden code has been described as a method by which specific letters from the text can be selected to reveal an otherwise obscured message. Though Bible codes have been postulated and studied for centuries, the subject has been popularized in modern times by Michael Drosnin’s book The Bible Code. ”   (source:  Bible Code – Wikipedia.org)

  Encounters with the Unexplained – Secrets of the Bible Code Ep 2

The Torah ( “Instruction”, “Teaching”) is the Jewish name for the first five books of the Jewish Bible.  In Hebrew the five books are named by the first phrase in the text:

  • Bereshit (“In the beginning,” Book of Genesis),
  • Shemot (“Names,” Exodus),
  • Vayikra (“He called”, Leviticus),
  • Bamidbar (“In the desert,” Numbers) and
  • Devarim (“Words,” Deuteronomy).

In rabbinic literature the word Torah denotes both these five books, Torah Shebichtav (תורה שבכתב, “Torah that is written”), and an Oral Torah, Torah Shebe’al Peh (תורה שבעל פה, “Torah that is spoken”).

The Oral Torah consists of the traditional interpretations and amplifications handed down by word of mouth from generation to generation and now embodied in the Talmud (תַּלְמוּד) and Midrash (מדרש‎) . (source:  Wikipedia)

Sefer Torah with decorative Scroll-handles (‘eẓ ḥayyim), pointer (yad) and breastplate. (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

The Torah is so precise and specific, that everyone is to own a Sefer Torah,  with its method of preparation, the size of the scroll and margin, its verses, including the name of God.  From sewing the sheets together, including  its appurtenances (attachments), the Breastplate   (suspended by a chain from the top of the rollers is the breastplate, to which,  in the case of the crowns, little bells are attached. Lions, eagles, flags, and the Magen Dawid either chased or embossed, or painted, are the principal decorations), its  history and  personal copies of the Torah can be reviewed and studied further in detail in the Jewish Encyclopedia.

God didn’t limit revealing Himself, His Word, or His will by only reading the bible.  He reveals Himself through dreams and visions by and through the Holy Spirit:

  • Then You scare me with dreams And terrify me with visions (Job 7:14)
  • As for these four young men, God gave them knowledge and skill in all literature and wisdom; and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams. (Daniel 1:17)
  • “And it shall come to pass afterward That I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions. (Joel 2:28; Acts 2:17)

God will also use His angels to deliver messages:

  • Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. (Luke 1:30)
  • When the morning dawned, the angels urged Lot to hurry, saying, “Arise, take your wife and your two daughters who are here, lest you be consumed in the punishment of the city.” (Genesis 19:15)
  • And the Angel of the LORD appeared to him, and said to him, “The LORD is with you, you mighty man of valor!” (Judges 6:12)

God doesn’t spare anyone from being His “voice” known as His prophets:

  • So the LORD said to Moses: “See, I have made you as God to Pharaoh, and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. (Exodus 7:1)
  • Now therefore, restore the man’s wife; for he is a prophet, and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you do not restore her, know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours.” (Genesis 20:7)
  • When they came there to the hill, there was a group of prophets to meet him; then the Spirit of God came upon him, and he prophesied among them. (1 Samuel 10:10)

Prophets of old are used as examples; however, we do have modern day prophets.  Below is an audio link of a discussion by a Pastor from Gallipolis, Ohio who received a dream December 28, 2011, involving America:

Here is a link to the written post “Important Prophecy for America“.

I, personally, do not own the computer software that is used for exploring codes in the Torah.  I did take an interest in the process and I don’t discourage anyone else from trying it, I just discovered that if I ask the God of all wisdom directly in prayer the “What is?” He will answer me.  This establishes a deeper relationship in Him and an even deeper trust in Him.

Fascinating doesn’t even begin to describe the mysteries and their revelations by God Almighty.

Jesus Christ: Guilty

Jesus Christ was innocent of sin.  However, He was guilty under many offenses as shown below:
Jesus Christ is guilty because He laid down His life on the Cross, so that He could take it up again for you and I and clear us of our crime and guilt of  sin:
  • As the Father knows Me, even so I know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep. (John 10:15)
  • “Therefore My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life that I may take it again. (John 10:17)
  • Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends. (John 15:13)
  • He by no means clears the guilty…(Numbers 14:18)

He is guilty of loving us so much so that we should not perish but have everlasting life:

  • 16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Q.  What is “guilty?”
A.  Guilty is an adjective meaning accepting and confessing responsibility for committing an “offense” or really we could use it this way:  She was guilty of smiling at her beloved which is really not offensive but rather an “act of behavior displaying love.” It is this act of behavior that I refer to when I say Jesus Christ is guilty of a specific behavior on His creation, man.
Q.  What does “caring” mean:
A.  Used as a verb caring means:
  • to be concerned or solicitous; have thought or regard.
  • to be concerned or have a special preference (usually used in negative constructions): I don’t care if I do.
  • to have an inclination, liking, fondness, or affection (usually followed by for ): Would you care for dessert?

Love, caring, and guilt, are driven by an emotion, sometimes very powerful, or quite passive:

  • An affective state of consciousness in which joy, sorrow, fear, hate, or the like, is experienced.
  • Any of the feelings of joy, sorrow, fear, hate, love, etc.
  • Any strong agitation of the feelings actuated by experiencing love, hate, fear, etc., and usually accompanied by certain physiological changes, as increased heartbeat or respiration, and often overt manifestation, as crying or shaking.
  • Something that causes such a reaction: the powerful emotion of a great symphony.
Jesus Christ is guilty of being driven to save that which God had created because of the power of His Word which shall not return void (empty) but accomplish that which He spoke:
  • So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. (Isaiah 55:11)
Jesus Christ is guilty because He is the image of Father God, and we, being His children have been created in His image:
  • Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; (Genesis 1:26)
Jesus Christ is guilty of having dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
Because we are created in His image, then He has primary dominion and we follow in His image doing the same over all the earth…it’s our inheritance–His rights are our rights:
  • let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” (Genesis 1:26)
The scales of justice in the eyes of God are not in our favor because we have all sinned and have fallen short of God’s glory:
  • for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23)
Jesus Christ is guilty of purging our sins:
  • who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high (Hebrews 1:3)
I could go on and on with scripture after scripture as evidence that He died for our sins, so that we could have everlasting life–He did!
He is guilty as shown by His actions towards us, His children, His chosen, His creation.
For we glory in His presence, the actions of  His love, His salvation, so that we can live with Him through eternity in Heaven:
  • Yes, they shall sing of the ways of the LORD, For great is the glory of the LORD. (Psalm 138:5)

It Is Finished!

For generations there has been a fierce spiritual battle for man’s soul (the battle of good vs evil).

Jesus Christ At The Cross by Bloch

Jesus Christ At The Cross by Bloch

Jesus Christ was sent from Heaven by Father God, to redeem, to restore man back to its rightful position with Father God.  In so doing, Jesus Christ went to the Cross for our salvation:

  • 28 After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!”
  • 29 Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
  • 30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit. (John 19:28-30)

From the moment Jesus said “It is finished!” a series of events take place:

His body is no longer in the tomb.  How?

He, Jesus, left evidence of His return:

  • Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there,
  • and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself.

Leaving the handkerchief that had been around His head, laying folded together in a place by itself, is  a long standing Jewish  tradition signifying the return of an individual.

Jesus then appears first to Mary Magdalene then to the disciples:

  • 16 Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him,“Rabboni!” (which is to say, Teacher).
  • 17 Jesus said to her, “Do not cling to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father; but go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, and to My God and your God.’” (John 20:16-17)
  • 19 Then, the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled,  for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the midst, and said to them, “Peace be with you.”
  • 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord. (John 20:19-20)

Jesus breathes on the disciples enacting the Holy Spirit and teaching forgiveness:

  • 21 So Jesus said to them again, “Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
  • 22 And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit.
  • 23 If you forgive the sins of any, they are forgiven them; if you retain the sins of any, they are retained.” (John 20:21-23)

Scriptures are fulfilled so that we can believe that we have life in His name, and that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God:

  • 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. (John 20:31)

Jesus provides restoration as evidenced by restoring Peter, who had denied Jesus three times, by asking him three times, “Peter do you love me?” and then charging Peter to “feed my sheep” (John 21:17)

The bible has story after story, after story of  hundreds of miracles that Jesus created, healed the sick, the lame walked, turning water into wine, raised the dead, and teaching scriptural principles (farming-agricultural, financial economics, virtues of honor, faith, love, loyalty).

Remember, Jesus had already breathed the Holy Spirit into the disciples, now they needed to be baptized with the Holy Spirit and receive the power of the Holy Spirit:

  • And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the Promise of the Father, “which,” He said, “you have heard from Me;
  • for John truly baptized with water, but you shall be baptized with the Holy Spirit not many days from now.”
  • Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
  • And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.
  •  But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Because It Is Finished:

  • He won the victory of good vs evil;
  • He took man’s sin sacrificing himself in order to save mankind by restoring us back to a righteous position with Father God;
  • He gave us the authority of His name;
  • the Power of His sinless blood;
  • His directs His angels to protect us;
  • He sets us free from bondage;
  • He has healed us from all manner of disease;
  • He conquered sorrow–no more tears;
  • He gives eternal life to anyone, free, by just accepting Him as the Son of God, and now our Messiah, Our God;
  • For Salvation Prayer, you must be born again, spiritually.

It Is Finished

by John Starnes

The last enemy has been destroyed: Death

  • 23 But each one in his own order: Christ the firstfruits, afterward those who are Christ’s at His coming.
  • 24 Then comes the end, when He delivers the kingdom to God the Father, when He puts an end to all rule and all authority and power.
  • 25 For He must reign till He has put all enemies under His feet.
  •  26 The last enemy that will be destroyed is death.
  • 27 For “He has put all things under His feet.” But when He says “all things are put under Him,it is evident that He who put all things under Him is excepted.
  • 28 Now when all things are made subject to Him, then the Son Himself will also be subject to Him who put all things under Him, that God may be all in all. (1 Corinthians 15:23-28)
  • 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57)

The Book of Esther: A Story of Love and Favor

By Deborah H. Bateman

Author of the

(Daily-Bible-Reading Series) [Kindle Edition]

Amazon’s e-book, The Book of Esther, is “for just a time as this”.  What timing that it is being brought to the forefront, as the Feast of Purim was currently celebrated.

This e-book is structured with 18 chapters converted into lessons, with its opening chapter setting the scene with King  Ahasuerus (Xerxes) sitting at the throne, over a kingdom spanning 127 provinces from India to Cush, abundantly blessed with wealth and the King celebrating it with his  nobles, princes, officials and military leaders from Media and PersiaKing Xerxes held his celebration for a period of 180 days “displaying” his vast wealth.

Each chapter holds the author’s point of view, including a daily bible scripture, and a prayer of the day.

Deborah H. Bateman is always pointing to the scriptures and giving God the glory,  requesting insight for the reader as the reader applies each chapter’s occurrence to their own lives ie.:

Prayer of the Day:

Dear Heavenly Father,

“As we read this Scripture help us to see drinking too much wine can cause all kinds of trouble. Help us as wives to submit to our husbands as unto the Lord.  But help us to know where the boundaries are.  In Jesus’ name, we ask it. Amen.”

She sets the tone for disciplined, committed bible reading (making it ideal for the christian classroom bible study) to further educate the reader into how God uses Esther to teach the modern-day christian who wants to know more about how God continues to genuinely touch an individual from yesterday’s events to today’s turbulent times.

The author has generously included a section “Things to Think About” further prodding the reader into going beyond what is written on paper and applying principles to effect their own lives.

As in the Book of Ruth, this author’s earlier e-book, Deborah manages to capture the spiritual layer of God’s involvement in Esther’s life relevant to today’s christian.

Esther is a Jewish orphan who is raised by her cousin, Mordechi.  Esther is taken into the King’s palace and “prepped” for one night with the King.

This story has such a deep love from an orphan to her King, and the King’s genuine love and affection for a commoner, flowing from one dramatic event to another culminating into a final decision of life or death from Esther to stand up for her people or she and they all perish.

I love prophecy.  Israel is currently contemplating striking Iran to prevent Iran’s build up of nuclear weapons to prevent Israel’s total annihilation threatened by Iran.  This is really ironic as Esther and King Xerxes ruled over ancient Persia and Media – today modern day Iran.

Megillah – Scroll of Esther, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Israel

Megillah – Scroll of Esther, Israel Museum, Jerusalem, Israel

Recently on March 9, 2012, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu  gifted President Obama a Scroll of the Book of Esther:

“…he gave the President the megillah (scroll) of the Book of Esther, which Jews read during Purim…”

“Purim conveys three lessons. First, the survival of the Jewish people is assured — not by the words or edicts of foreign rulers — but when they have the ability to defend themselves.  As Netanyahu said, “As prime minister of Israel, I will never let my people live in the shadow of annihilation.”

Second, Purim suggests that the Jewish people — and religious liberty — will always be threatened by regimes that regard self-governance and civil society as the enemy.  Alluding to the Passover Haggadah, Netanyahu stated: “In every generation there are those who wish to destroy the Jewish people.”

“Indeed, the third and most important lesson of Purim is that ability to take pre-emptive military action is essential to Jewish survival.  As Netanyahu said: “The purpose of the Jewish state is to secure the Jewish future. That is why Israel must always have the ability to defend itself, by itself, against any threat…” (source:  Spectator.org)

Amazon’s e-book, The Book of Esther, A Story of Love and Favor, is “for just a time as this.”  Indeed, prophecy unveiling today?

  • For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” (Esther 4:14)

Read the e-book today and follow Esther’s journey.  Will she perish?  Will God intervene and deliver His people?

“You shall have no other gods before Me.” (Exodus 20:3)

  • Then it shall be, if you by any means forget the LORD your God, and follow other gods, and serve them and worship them, I testify against you this day that you shall surely perish.  (Deuteronomy 8:19)

There are so many reports, videos, news articles, on the collapse of the financial economy not only in America but across the world, with Greece, Spain, and Italy being the most current who have extended their financial downfall by “borrowing” to stay afloat from a total global economic collapse.

Common language refers to the One World Order already in effect and not merely a conspiracy theory.

Forming a One World Order is contrary to God’s instructions to “you shall have no other gods before me.”

A One World Order is any new or alternative global social or political organization or system, esp. referring to that after the Cold War with one ruler:

  • one government
  • one economy
  • one military
  • one society
  • one religion

As Friedrich Nietzsche (1844–1900), German philosopher, stated:

“We, however, want to become those we are—human beings who are new, unique, incomparable, who give themselves laws, who create themselves. To that end we must become the best learners and discoverers of everything that is lawful and necessary in the world: we must become physicists in order to be able to be creators in this sense—while hitherto all valuations and ideals have been based on ignorance of physics or were constructed so as to contradict it. Therefore: long live physics! And even more so that which compels us to turn to physics—our honesty! by Friedrich Nietzsche” (source: dictionary.com)

“His key ideas include the death of God, perspectivism, the Übermensch, amor fati, the eternal recurrence, and the will to power. ” (source: Wikipedia)

“The common theme in conspiracy theories about a New World Order is that a secretive power elite with a globalist agenda is conspiring to eventually rule the world through an authoritarian world government—which replaces sovereign nation-states—and an all-encompassing propaganda that ideologizes its establishment as the culmination of history’s progress.” (source: Wikipedia)

To understand the future, we must understand where we have been that leads us to forming the New World Order.

The following view: debt (effectively destroys economic freedom) involving the Federal Reserve System.

YouTube video about the financial banking system and it’s historical 1929 collapse.  So sit back, relax with a cup of tea, and listen to events triggering the New World Order with its secret societies.

Wake Up Call - Remastered Edition - Full Movie

God set up a full proof economic system: tithing, offerings, sacrifices.  Follow His commands, honor His economic system, include His principles into your life, for it is He who will provide for you effectively, not the government with it’s baseless values and hidden agendas to promote themselves.

  • There you shall take your burnt offerings, your sacrifices, your tithes, the heave offerings of your hand, your vowed offerings, your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herds and flocks. (Deuteronomy 12:6)
  • And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the LORD’s. It is holy to the LORD. (Leviticus 27:30)
  • As for me, I will praise and worship the Lord, creator of Heaven and Earth:
  • In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. (Genesis 1:1)

Blessings,
