You who love the Lord, hate evil!  He preserves the souls of His saints;  He delivers them out of the hand of the wicked.  (Psalm 97:10)

I hate evil!  It’s thoughtless, it’s being spiteful, it valueless; it’s all that I abhor.

So what is evil?

The dictionary defines evil as:

• ³⁰ Then Jesus answered and said: “A certain man went down from Jerusalem to Jericho, and fell among thieves, who stripped him of his clothing, wounded him, and departed, leaving him half dead.
• ³¹ Now by chance a certain priest came down that road. And when he saw him, he passed by on the other side.
• ³² Likewise a Levite, when he arrived at the place, came and looked, and passed by on the other side.
• ³³ But a certain Samaritan, as he journeyed, came where he was. And when he saw him, he had compassion.
• ³⁴ So he went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine; and he set him on his own animal, brought him to an inn, and took care of him.
• ³⁵ On the next day, when he departed, he took out two denarii, gave them to the innkeeper, and said to him, ‘Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I come again, I will repay you.’
• ³⁶ So which of these three do you think was neighbor to him who fell among the thieves?”
• ³⁷ And he said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”  (Luke 10:30-37)

Wow, a Priest and a Levite (holy men of God), both passed by and did nothing to help this beaten up man.

A Samaritan (who is a man from a tribe detested by the Jewish) didn’t even question the nationality of the victim.  He just took mercy and compassion on the man, actually helps him up and gets him a room to shelter him and pays for his stay until his return, promising to make up the difference on the expenses to the innkeeper with instructions to restore the injured man.

Whenever I heard this story, I always took it at face value, lending a helping hand whenever and wherever it’s needed.

At least until recently.  There is another layer, a spiritual layer, revealed here:  This is a picture of  the mugger, the thief, who is Satan; the victim is the church–you and I. The innkeeper is the Holy Spirit, and, of course, the good Samaritan is Jesus Christ who took mercy and compassion on the beaten, lost, the abandoned, the downtrodden, the loveless.

Jesus Christ, who paid for our spiritual necessaries, anoints us with the oil of gladness, and gives us wine (also representative of the Holy Spirit).

You’ll note that Jesus  says:  “when I come again, I will repay you.”  This is Christ in heaven until His return, then He dispenses judgment.

So I leave you with this thought:  “I am about my father’s business.”  Are you?

Are you ready/are you prepared to meet Him, the God who created you?

“For My people have committed two evils: They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters, And hewn themselves cisterns—broken cisterns that can hold no water. (Jeremiah 2:13)

• “…they have forsaken the LORD, The fountain of living waters.” (Jeremiah 17:13)

So you woke up this morning, nauseated because you have to face another day going nowhere.  To make matters worse, the spouse has left you for another more “precious person” and divorce is just around the corner.

The pain hits deep in your stomach (called bleeding ulcers) affecting your soul, as  you drag across the room to pick up the phone and call in, again, to report to your employer you cannot go to work due to illness, as the sweat streams down your face in despair.

Your legs buckle underneath you as you try so hard to get back into bed.  “If only” is the language of regret wrapping around in your head trying to think clearly, trying to remember the last time your soul actually felt at peace or “alive”.

Have you been living life on your own terms?

More like what Frank Sinatra and Luciano Pavarotti, men of renown, used to sing: “I did it my way?”

• For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul? (Matthew 16:26)

So you did do it your own way; you traveled the hard way.  But you’re still at a loss to explain why your soul feels so shallow and empty.

Are you sick and tired of being tired, unsure of your purpose in life?

Are you struggling to make ends meet?

Are you wondering “is this all there is to life?” Does life even hold some meaning for you?

Have you wandered around totally blank about your future? Do you even dream of a good future?

Do you feel like living life on this earth is really hell in disguise, or really “life is hell!” attitude?

I have your answer:  God the son, Jesus Christ, who lived and died so you could have a future and a hope, free of pain and anguish, full of fulfilled purpose for your soul:

• But He was wounded for our transgressions, “He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.” (Isaiah 53:5)

• “Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.” (Isaiah 58:8)

Jesus Christ is life!  Every breath that you take is a breath of life.  Without Jesus Christ, you cannot live life, you cannot fulfill your purpose in this world, and you won’t have a  life filled with meaning and value. He is peace–your peace; He is a counselor–your counselor; He is a provider–your provider; He is, He is, He is I AM–not I was (past)–not I may be (a dream) but I AM (all your present moments):

• Jesus answered and said to her, “If you knew the gift of God, and who it is who says to you, ‘Give Me a drink,’ you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water.” (John 4:10)

• He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.” (John 7:38)
• “…who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes you were healed.” (1 Peter 2:24)
• “…for the Lamb who is in the midst of the throne will shepherd them and lead them to living fountains of waters. And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Revelation 7:17)

Accept Him.  Call out to Him.  He is ready, willing, and able to lift you up out of your unhealthy circumstances, envelop you with security, heal your soul with living water, fill you with love and purpose, and with life eternal.

I’d never had these promises spoken over me until my Pastor (Mario Nava) called the congregation to come forward to the altar, particularly the parents with children, to lay hands over them and speak God’s promises into their children’s lives.

Of course, many in the congregation were single and some had no father,  so Pastor called us forward and proclaimed himself as our spiritual parent (father) and spoke God’s promises over us.

Ever since then I have prayed daily and reminded the Lord that these are His promises of blessings and have laid claim to them.  God is faithful to His Word and I sincerely believe gets excited that we believe in Him and trust in Him to act on our behalf.

Listed below is a brief explanation of the word blessing(s):

Speak God’s promises over your own children, believe that He will act on behalf of your children and take care of them.  I’ve been prompted to take my mom (who is a great, great-grandmother) and together have prayed God’s promises to the upcoming generations in our family.

I see them now coming forward and asking for prayer.  I believe they now, too, have come to believe in God and His goodness.  But it started with an active “let’s pray to God” attitude.

I have this prayer printed on card stock and continue to pray it daily over myself, still believing and trusting in the Lord to have His promises come to pass:

ow it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that

• the Lord your God will set you high above all nations of the earth.

• ² And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God:

• ³ “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country.
• ⁴ “Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks.
• ⁵ “Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl.
• ⁶ “Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.
• ⁷ “The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before your face; they shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.
• ⁸ “The Lord will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
• ⁹ “The Lord will establish you as a holy people to Himself, just as He has sworn to you, if you keep the commandments of the Lord your God and walk in His ways.
• ¹⁰ Then all people’s of the earth shall see that you are called by the name of the Lord, and they shall be afraid of you.
• ¹¹ And the Lord will grant you plenty of goods, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your ground, in the land of which the Lord swore to your fathers to give you.
• ¹² The Lord will open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give the rain to your land in its season, and to bless all the work of your hand. You shall lend to many nations, but you shall not borrow.
• ¹³ And the Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you shall be above only, and not be beneath, if you heed the commandments of the Lord your God, which I command you today, and are careful to observe them.
• ¹⁴ So you shall not turn aside from any of the words which I command you this day, to the right or the left, to go after other gods to serve them.

The title Rise In The Name of Jesus!, may be a bit “out there”; however, following are a few more scriptures that refer to rising from the dead involving Jesus Christ, who, Himself, rose from the dead as a backdrop to my experience last week:

• They laughed at him, knowing that she was dead. ⁵⁴ But he took her by the hand and said, “My child, get up!” ⁵⁵ Her spirit returned, and at once she stood up. Then Jesus told them to give her something to eat. (Luke 8:53-55)

• Jesus said to her, “Your brother will rise again.” (John 11:23)

• “…that the Messiah would suffer and, as the first to rise from the dead, would bring the message of light to his own people and to the Gentiles.” (Acts 26:23)
• In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. (Ephesians 2:21)
• This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” (Ephesians 5:14)

It’s a long stretch by any means that anyone else could rise from the dead, other than Jesus Christ, whom Father God raised from the dead as the angels foretold when His body was not in the tomb:

• He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. (Matthew 28:6)

Before Jesus was crucified he laid hands on the sick and healed them:

• He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them. (Mark 6:5)
• At sunset, the people brought to Jesus all who had various kinds of sickness, and laying his hands on each one, he healed them. (Luke 4:40)

But Jesus was crucified.  Before He ascended to Heaven, he left instructions:

• ³ After his suffering, he presented himself to them and gave many convincing proofs that he was alive. He appeared to them over a period of forty days and spoke about the kingdom of God. ⁴ On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. ⁵ For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 1:3-5)

Timothy speaks about fanning into flames the gift of God, which is in you through the laying of hands (by and through the power of the Holy Spirit):

• For this reason I remind you to fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands. (2 Timothy 1;6)

There is one word of caution to the laying on of hands to heal the sick:

• Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others. Keep yourself pure.

We have been given a tremendous gift of the laying on of hands to heal the sick, by and through the power of the Holy Spirit because Jesus Christ conquered death and the power over all evil.

Last Wednesday, after doing some shopping, I returned home exhausted.  I checked on all of my five pets (One labrador dog named Bella Bella, One mixed poodle named Heidie, Three  6 month old kittens: Grey, Stripes, and White).  All of these pets were abandoned and each came into my possession at various times.  I believe it’s because God has gifted me to take care of the abandoned and the lost.

Grey, the most mature of the three kittens, appeared a bit wimpy to me.  Everyone experiences an off day, so I thought she was having an off day.  I went about my business, chores, etc. However, when it was time to bed down the pets, I noticed she was really “out of it.”  She could barely walk.  When I held her, she was really hot.  I have little experience in raising kittens.  I’ve made many trips to the vet where dogs are concerned so I wasn’t sure what I was facing.

I laid hands and prayed over Grey, and claimed God’s promise of healing as His word promises.  I cradled Grey against my body, and I anointed her with oil, and I cried to the Lord.  I felt her life slipping away rapidly.  In His mercy He heard my cry.  I didn’t want to let her go.

He answered me in my spirit and stated “she will not die today, not tomorrow.”  (I’m honest, I asked the Lord if He meant here on earth, because surely I know she lives in Heaven forever.)

I stopped crying from the pain in my heart because He touched me.

I sent my sister a text requesting prayer for Grey with a possible trip to the vet the following day.

Exhausted, I laid Grey next to me in my bed with my hand over her all night Wednesday.  Intermittently I woke up automatically praying over her.  She lay quietly all night, never moving.

Grey didn’t improve the following day (Thursday).  She drank little water and ate no food.  But I trusted in the word of the Lord.  In fact, as I look back on the experience, I decided to trust God over the vet.  I felt the way circumstances appeared, the vet would have “put her down” in mercy.

All day Thursday, I went about the motions of everyday life.  I slipped on some chores and work and I “bugged” the Lord incessantly in prayer.

• During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with fervent cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission. (Hebrews 5:7)

“God,” I thought to myself, “did I misunderstand Him?”  The deceiver loves to interfere when we are in the depth of despair so I had to battle the voice of doubt.

I made a choice to believe the Lord.  I anointed Grey so many times that the other pets would quietly come up to her and sniff at her.

I will say this for the other pets, not one hassled me to take them outside.  They were as quiet as a mouse, unsure of what was going on.  No one was sent outside Wednesday or Thursday as is customary.

Again, I placed Grey next to me Thursday night with my hand over her.  However, I slept a bit more this time.  I awoke Friday morning and noticed Grey was still alive but barely.

This time, resigned I just said “Ok, Lord, I don’t want her in pain, if you need to take her, take her.”

Suddenly, a vivid memory from the bible comes over me: the scene where the Lord is leaning over the dead little girl and He says “Rise!”

I leaned over Grey, hovered my left hand over her lifeless body and I simply said, with conviction, “Rise!” “Rise in the Name of Jesus!”

OMG!!! Grey flipped opened her small eyes, barely looking around and her body literally began to move upwards.  I didn’t stop hovering over her and I kept repeating myself, “Rise!” “Rise in the Name of Jesus!”   She sat down on the bed and literally started moving, limping along the bed!!

Friday was my birthday and this was His gift to me: my Grey!  She is well, getting stronger each day being fed country stew because of the broth. I noticed her siblings, Stripes and White, hovering over Grey all kissing each other as is their custom.

Yesterday, Saturday, all three kittens were laying next to each other with their paws encircling  around each other sleeping quietly (the storm had passed).

Today she was outside in the cool of the day enjoying God’s creation.  They play with the dry crisp leaves as their toys and they scamper around from one end of the yard to the other end out distancing each other.  God created them with  incredible agility and speed.

If  God can gift us with life in animals how much more do you think He would do for us as humans who He created in His image?

So now enters the subject of the Mayan Calendar ending or stopping rather on December 21, 2012. (Note: the Winter Solstice will have the Sun lining up with the center of the Milky Way  exactly at 11:11 on December 21, 2012–this last occured 26,000 years ago.)

Such an enormous amount of writings, unknown expectations, theory after theory that the world is ending.  Some say from an explosion of a comet entering the earth’s atmosphere, some say solar flares from the sun interfering with the earth’s electromagnetic atmosphere causing the interruption of  electrical fields affecting the satellites, down to the cell phones, tv’s, radios, possibly even shutting down the internet that operate wirelessly.

There’s so much controversy that I’ve spent the last few days trying to understand how the Mayan Calendar manages to create so much confusion.

• As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. “Tell us,” they said, “when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?” (Matthew 24:3)

• ⁴ Jesus answered: “Watch out that no one deceives you. ⁵ For many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am the Messiah,’ and will deceive many. ⁶ You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. ⁷ Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. ⁸ All these are the beginning of birth pains. (Matthew 24:4-8)

You will notice the question that is being asked is “the sign of the end of  the age.”  It’s not asking for the sign of the end of the world.  Jesus does describe some of the events that will take place and he ends saying “All these are the beginning of birth pains.”

What I kept reading over and over in some articles many were eluding to the world ending but I kept asking myself how that could be because Jesus hasn’t returned physically (with the exception of the Holy Spirit working in our spirits today) to rule and reign for 1,000 years.  For me this means the earth continues to still exist:

• The second death has no power over them, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him for a thousand years. (Revelation 20:6).

What I found quite revealing is that the Mayan Calendar never claims that the earth will end:

• There are no specific markings or statements about the year 2012 on the archaeological artifacts at Izapa, but there are numerous images at Izapa that portray a rare celestial alignment that appears in the skies in the years around 2012. This galactic alignment marks the rebirth of the December Solstice…(article from EdgarCayce.org)
• Time Cycles:  Scholars have figured out how the Long Count Calendar correlates with our own Gregorian calendar (using a lot of arithmetic), so we know that the legendary time of the beginning of our present World Age – when all the values were set to zero – occurred on August 11, 3114 BC. And using a complex system of Mayan Baktuns (measurements of time), we can calculate when their calendar reaches a new zero point – basically, every 13 Baktuns (5,125 years), the Long Count resets to zero – the calculated time when our present World Age ends and a new cycle of time commences. I’d like to make a note here that I am not a follower of Edgar Cayce; however, I am familiar with some of his points of view and his experiences.  I mention him because his site, too, speaks of the Mayan Calendar and the shift of the Time Cycles.

How stunning the Mayan culture was.  How did they get their advance knowledge of astronomy?  One monument that also illustrates their advance knowledge of 365 days as depicted  in their calendar are their renown pyramids.  Counting the steps leading to the top is 365 (the Solar Calendar).

The Maya civilization is a Mesoamerican culture, noted for having the only known fully developed written language of the pre-Columbian Americas, as well as for its spectacular art, monumental architecture, and sophisticated mathematical and astronomical systems. Unfortunately, a public fascination with the morbid has meant that for many people in Europe and the Americas the ancient Mayans are perhaps best known for their use of their pyramids in public bloodletting rituals. Perry Stone, a foremost prophetic historian, pastor, author, and a deeply committed man of God confirms that what is going to happen is the end of the age and yes, there will be an alignment of the planets, causing solar flares affecting the electromagnetic field around the earth.

I asked myself some questions: do I prepare? Prepare for what? When? Finally, I was led to seven videos that Perry Stone taught where he mentions the Mayan Calendar and the year 2012.  Below, I excerpted only two of those videos because he can best explain what I believe, is the truth:

So do we know that Jesus is coming back this year? No, no one knows, just be ready:

• “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. ” (Matthew 24:36)
• “Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day or the hour.” (Matthew 25:13)

A sanctuary is also a temple–dedicated to the service of and a house of worship of a deity or deities and in this case worshiping the holy God in Heaven:

Worship the Lord, Jesus Christ.  Accept Him into your heart. Sanctify, dedicate yourself to the Lord Jesus. Decree and declare to yourself and to others that Jesus Christ died and rose again on that 3rd fateful day, to rule and reign forever in righteousness.

Ancient of Days by William Blake 1794

He is described by the prophets of old in the Books of  Isaiah, Daniel, as well as by Jesus Christ, himself, when He walked on earth, and by the prophet, John, who had visions of the violent end times in the Book of Revelation:

• “Yes, and from ancient days I am He. No one can deliver out of my hand. When I act, who can reverse it?” (Isaiah 43:13)
• “As I looked, “thrones were set in place, and the Ancient of Days took his seat. His clothing was as white as snow; the hair of his head was white like wool. His throne was flaming with fire, and its wheels were all ablaze. (Daniel 7:9)
• “In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, (Jesus Christ) coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. (Daniel 7:13)
• …until the Ancient of Days came and pronounced judgment in favor of the holy people of the Most High, and the time came when they possessed the kingdom. (Daniel 7:22)
• And God said, “Let there be lights in the vault of the sky to separate the day from the night, and let them serve as signs to mark sacred times, and days and years, (Genesis 1:14)

“I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle” words spoken by Almighty Father God speaking of a time when trouble would affect mankind:

• …which I reserve for times of trouble, for days of war and battle? (Job 38:23).

Father God foresaw events taking place on earth, after the fall of man through Adam and Eve’s disobedience to Him.  However, because of His lovingkindness and tender mercies,  He makes provision to save man by sacrificing His own Son, Jesus Christ, to redeem us back to Him.

In the meantime, the season of time involving trouble (hunger and famine, pestilence–viruses, death, poverty, destruction) includes the worldwide collapse of the financial economy ushering in World War III, and introducing the Mark of the Beast.

• I saw a beast coming out of the sea. It had ten horns and seven heads, with ten crowns on its horns, and on each head a blasphemous name. ² The beast I saw resembled a leopard, but had feet like those of a bear and a mouth like that of a lion. The dragon gave the beast his power and his throne and great authority. ³ One of the heads of the beast seemed to have had a fatal wound, but the fatal wound had been healed. The whole world was filled with wonder and followed the beast. ⁴ People worshiped the dragon because he had given authority to the beast, and they also worshiped the beast and asked, “Who is like the beast? Who can wage war against it?” (Revelation 13: 1-4)
• ⁵ The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise its authority for forty-two months. ⁶ It opened its mouth to blaspheme God, and to slander his name and his dwelling place and those who live in heaven. ⁷ It was given power to wage war against God’s holy people and to conquer them. And it was given authority over every tribe, people, language and nation. ⁸ All inhabitants of the earth will worship the beast—all whose names have not been written in the Lamb’s book of life, the Lamb who was slain from the creation of the world.  (Revelation 13:5-8)

Hope for the future come in the form of our Savior, Jesus Christ.  He said to his disciples:

• You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. (Matthew 24:6)
• “The time is coming when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, but you will not see it. (Luke 17:22)

Timothy (The Book of Timothy) speaks of terrible times:

• But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. (2 Timothy 3:1).

Father God, Ancient of Days,  is still on His throne reigning, orchestrating events to once and for all destroy (yes, I said “destroy”), satan (aka: the dragon, the beast) revealed in the form  evil once and for all.

• In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty. (Psalm 37:19)

• “In those days and at that time, when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem,” (Joel 3:1)

Prophesied events are fulfilled in the Book of Revelation:

• These are the words of him who holds the seven spirits of  God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. ² Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. ³ Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.

Worship the Ancient of Days:

• Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker; (Psalm 95:6)
• It is written: “‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.’” (Romans 14:11)
• …that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, (Philipians 2:10)

Write the Vision

Excited, I waited in anticipation.  I like this newly developed side to me that I never knew could be.  I am just obedient as the Lord takes me to another adventure.  Hence:  “Write the Vision–Habakkuk”:

1 I will stand my watch
And set myself on the rampart,
And watch to see what He will say to me,
And what I will answer when I am corrected.

² Then the LORD answered me and said:
“ Write the vision
And make it plain on tablets,
That he may run who reads it.
³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time;
But at the end it will speak, and it will not lie.
Though it tarries, wait for it;
Because it will surely come,
It will not tarry.
⁴ “ Behold the proud,
His soul is not upright in him;
But the just shall live by his faith. (Habakkuk 2:1-4)

So how do we write down our vision?

1st:  Seek the lord, He will give you your vision.  He knows you; He is the only one who understands your weaknesses and your strengths.  He is the only one who can bring your vision to fruition.

2nd:  Get a journal-ask yourself what do you want or need to survive or be comfortable?

• Write down your ideas (your vision plan/your goal) to get to your  result.
• Estimate how long it would take to get to your result (1, 2, 3, 5 yrs?).
• Is education a part of your dream.  Will skills and training be involved?

3rd:  Develop a “vision board“.

• This is the element to building and reflecting your dream. It’s a visual representation of your dream.
• Clip images from various resources: magazines, newspapers, catalogs, where ever you can cut photos of your desired items.
• Staple, glue or whatever method you choose by placing them on your vision board.
• Speak the Word over your board, faith believe it will come to pass.

If your vision involves building a business, organize your thoughts, print the laws of organization, pray over them, mark off each one as they are fulfilled.

I’ve had people say to me that they have a dream and no way do they know how to get started much less make the business a success.

For example: there is  an person who wants to create a food delivery service.  He thought that it was a small business and was asking for a website to help boost his home business.

My alert antennas went up.  I did some basic research and came up with some regulations involving the food industry:  IRS guidelines involving home businesses; Obtaining an Employer Identification Number from IRS: USDA certification; Secretary of State (certificate of formation); county and city regulations including various health food permits, filing a “doing business as”  with the county clerk’s office, and obtaining and maintaining insurance for a business and vehicular insurance for delivery.

The list was much more detailed (including creating and maintaining employee payroll).  I  sent my “basic tips” to this person adding a note stating “and you thought you had a small business.”

What I outlined is the administrative part of a business; this didn’t include the responsibilities for obtaining the building, kitchen equipment, ordering supplies, maintaining inventory, and hiring the cook, supervising the employees, etc.

These responsibilities, the administrative, the employees, the product, hasn’t even reached the level of marketing the product, which is a separate and thoughtful and no less creative level.

God doesn’t think small, neither should you; however, bear in mind how regulations affect your dream and include them in your planning stages:

• My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge. Because you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you from being priest for Me; Because you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your children. (Hosea 4:6)

• The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. (John 10:10)

4th: Do not exclude God from any stage of the dream, your planning, your execution of your dream.  He is integral.  He gave you your dream.

If you don’t have a dream and you are wandering around not knowing what you should be doing, pray.  Pray to the One who made you, Who knows you, Who loves you, Who died so that you could live.

If you are wanting a spouse…follow the same principles, pray to God, outline the virtues of the person you are seeking:

• Believes in God/Jesus Christ,
• Is a prayer warrior,
• Is of the opposite sex,
• Is honest and of high integrity,
• Is handsome/beautiful,
• Believes in loyalty to the spouse,
• Likes to work (either in a business or in the home),
• Likes children (if you want children)
• Likes humor — one who will laugh with me and not at me

Be specific–this is the person with whom you will live with, hopefully, through old age.

Finally, don’t forgot to honor the Lord with all of your substance: Tithe, give offerings, sacrifice to the Lord so that He can multiply your abundance.

I am being reminded that I had a dream for a sleigh bed.  Some of the images I had seen were just not what I wanted or they were too expensive–I don’t want to spend $800 for sleigh bed. I hung to my dream believing I would someday own one.

Then one day, I had an individual on Facebook selling furniture.  I made an off-hand remark stating I was interested in an affordable sleigh bed.  He said he had some in inventory and we agreed he would send me a photo for viewing.  To my surprise, yes, he did have the type of sleigh bed I was interested in and it was less than $200.00! I bought it within a few days after I saw the photo.  It was the right size, the right color, the right style (a bit conservative–but my style), and the right price.

The same concept applies if you are buying a house.  I remember the Lord giving me a desire to buy a house, but I distinctly remember thinking “would you like a fireplace in it?” I remember thinking “how many rooms do you want?” “How many bathrooms should it have?”

What’s surprising to me is that I didn’t know it was God speaking to me.  Thank you Lord!

• For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

I like the research that it takes to complete His articles.  I will spend time reviewing mini videos to see which ones “speak” to my topic, easy to view, easy to understand, easy to accept.

That’s a great deal of my adventure–the research.  There are so many points of view on what seemingly is the same topic.  I will only use those that are direct to scripture.

My thanks to all those who are courageous enough to download their “thoughts” on scripture and actually make a viewable video for others to enjoy.
