Trumpets: Strange Sounds In The Sky?

  • And when the blast of the trumpet sounded long and became louder and louder, Moses spoke, and God answered him by voice. (Exodus 19:19)

While watching videos from around the world, dated 2011-2012, and as recently as a few days ago, February 2013, comments of strange sounds in the sky were reported.  I thought about the trumpets that were written in the Christian Holy Bible from Exodus through the Book of Revelation.

These sounds were heard globally from the United Kingdom to Holland, from South America to North America from Queensland, Australia to Badajoz, Spain from Bucharest to Canada from Istanbul, Turkey to Scotland and from Denmark to Kiev, Russia.

Some people point to the technology of HAARP, to acoustics in music or to the coming Armageddon.

Some scientists even weighed in with their evidence by taking their physical instruments to measure the vibrations of these sounds taken from the various videos stating it was a natural shift in the earth’s inner core affecting the atmospheric pressure.

When I first heard the sound in one video, I could only find it as a sound like “a ship scraping against heavy metal.”  I am not musically talented enough to show it otherwise.

I scanned the New King James Bible to check the scriptures on whom, when, why, where trumpets were being used by the Israelis as they journeyed to their destiny:

In Leviticus 23:23 thru 25:9, the Lord ordered the blowing of trumpets now known as the Feast of Trumpets, and in Psalm 81:3, blowing the trumpets at the appearance of the New and Full Moons:

In Numbers 10:2 and Numbers 10:8 Trumpets were for the calling or gathering of the congregation and for directing camp movements and in Numbers 10:8 the Lord ordained the sons of Aaron, the priests to blow the trumps forever throughout the generations.

In Numbers 10:9, 2 Chronicles 13:12, Jeremiah 4:19; 6:17 and Ezekiel 7:14, Trumpets were used to sound the alarm for war, the going to battle, with remembrance that the Lord God will save the Israelis from their enemies as well as a warning not to fight against the Lord God for doing so will stop  prosperity.

  • Now look, God Himself is with us as our head, and His priests with sounding trumpets to sound the alarm against you. O children of Israel, do not fight against the Lord God of your fathers, for you shall not prosper!” (2 Chronicles 13:12)

Trumpets as a Memorial to the Lord God:

  • Also in the day of your gladness, in your appointed feasts, and at the beginning of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings; and they shall be a memorial for you before your God: I am the Lord your God.” (Numbers 10:10)

Trumpets as a Holy Convocation:

Trumpets were used as a Holy Convocation on the seventh month, on the first day of the month without the usual customary work. The Lord declared it as a day of blowing the trumpets.

As a Call to Battle:

In the Book of Joshua, chapter 6 versus 4, 5, 6 and 20, we see the blowing of seven trumpets made of rams’ horns circling the walls of Jericho for seven days led by the priests carrying the Ark of the Covenant.  Then at the long blast of the ram’s horn and the sound of trumpets the people shouted in one great shout and the walls of Jericho supernaturally came down, causing Joshua and his men to overtake the city in victory.

In the Book of Judges, chapters 3,6, and 7, Gideon lead the children of Israel into battle.  In this book, the distinct battle sound of the trumpets shows that they blew the trumpets while holding pitchers.  These pitchers broke when they hit a specific high pitch, or vibrating notes, causing the pitchers to shatter.  Imagine 100 Israelis blowing trumpets holding these pitchers, simultaneously crying “The sword of the Lord and of Gideon!”

  • Wherever you hear the sound of the trumpet, rally to us there. Our God will fight for us.” (Nehemiah 4:20)

As a Musical Instrument Onto the Lord:

The trumpets were not restricted to the sound of battle.  They were used as musical instruments onto the Lord.  King David with the sound of trumpets brought up the ark of the Lord and all Israel played music before God with all their might, with singing on harps, on stringed instruments, on tambourines, on cymbals and with trumpets (2 Samuel 6:15; 1 Chronicles 13:8).

Benaiah and Jahaziel, the priests, regularly blew the trumpets before the Ark of the Covenant of  God. (1 Chronicles 16:6) and the Levites who were the singers, all those of Asaph and Heman and Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, stood at the east end of the altar, clothed in white linen, having cymbals, stringed instruments and harps, and with them one hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets (2 Chronicles 5:12)

  • indeed it came to pass, when the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord, and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying:“For He is good, For His mercy endures forever,” that the house, the house of the Lord, was filled with a cloud, (2 Chronicles 5:13)

Trumpets in Building the House of the Lord:

When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel. (Ezra 3:10); Everyone of the builders had his sword girded at his side as he built. And the one who sounded the trumpet was beside me. (Nehemiah 4:18)

The Watchman’s Responsibility:

In the Book of Ezekiel chapter 3: versus 33 thru 36, the Lord outlines the watchman’s responsibility to warn the people of the “sword coming upon the land,” by blowing the trumpet (which this also means using his mouth like as a verbal trumpet by speaking and alerting of the dangers that are coming).  It also includes the ramifications to the Watchman if he/she fails to warn people if it is within his ability to do so:

  • when he sees the sword coming upon the land, if he blows the trumpet and warns the people, (Ezekiel 3:33)
  • then whoever hears the sound of the trumpet and does not take warning, if the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be on his own head. (Ezekiel 3:34)
  • He heard the sound of the trumpet, but did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But he who takes warning will save his life. (Ezekiel 3:35)
  • But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, and the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.’ (Ezekiel 3:36)

Prophesying the return of the Lord with the blowing of trumpets:

In the Books of  Hosea, Joel, Matthew, 1 Corinthians and 1 Thessalonians it was prophesied or foretold the return of the Lord with the blowing of the trumpets:

  • Set the trumpet to your mouth! He shall come like an eagle against the house of the Lord, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law. (Hosea 8:1)
  • Blow the trumpet in Zion, And sound an alarm in My holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble; For the day of the Lord is coming, For it is at hand: (Joel 2:1)
  • And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. (Matthew 24:31)
  • in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. (1 Corinthians 15:52)
  • For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Thessalonians 4:16)

Angels and the Seven Trumpets in the Book of Revelation:

Perhaps the most stunning use of the trumpets is in the Book of Revelation.  Seven Angels are used blowing seven trumpets sounding the signal to cause devastation effecting God’s judgments of wrath upon the earth:

  • And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. (Revelation 8:2)
  • So the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound. (Revelation 8:6)
  1. [ First Trumpet: Vegetation Struck ] The first angel sounded: And hail and fire followed, mingled with blood, and they were thrown to the earth. And a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up. (Revelation 8:7)
  2. [ Second Trumpet: The Seas Struck ] Then the second angel sounded: And something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood. (Revelation 8:8)
  3. [ Third Trumpet: The Waters Struck ] Then the third angel sounded: And a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. (Revelation 8:10)
  4. [ Fourth Trumpet: The Heavens Struck ] Then the fourth angel sounded: And a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them were darkened. A third of the day did not shine, and likewise the night. (Revelation 8:12)
  5. [ Fifth Trumpet: The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit ] Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. (Revelation 9:1)
  6. [ Sixth Trumpet: The Angels from the Euphrates ] Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” (Revelation 9:13-14)
  7. [ Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed ] Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!” (Revelation 11:15)

Strange Trumpet Sounds – Bible Prophecy?

by (James L. Paris)

  • God has gone up with a shout, The Lord with the sound of a trumpet. (Psalm 47:5)

Is God trying to get our attention using trumpets, the strange sounds in the sky, which could be  sounding the alarm from His holy mountain?

note:  Unless otherwise noted, all scriptures are from the New King James Bible.

Blessings,

Jesus Christ & The Cross, A Living Hope

Hope

Hope

  • Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,” (1 Peter 1:3)

Writing in bible prophecy and “seeing” the events that are unfolding before my eyes has really taken a hold on me in a way I’ve never known before.

We are to sound the alarm when things are not as though they seem.  People are walking in their everyday “normalcy,” yet we’re on the very edge of WW III.  I’ve written articles trying to educate people to what’s coming but I’m not really sure that it’s being understood.

The world is coming into a “New World Order” and things will not stay as we know them.  Are people really that blind?

“Oh my Lord!” strikes at my heart in exasperation.  So many people do understand what is trying to take place but are unsure what to do about it.  I’ve said pray, sign petitions — take a stand against evil and the tyranny looming over us.

Then the Lord came to my rescue–He said “Jesus Christ: A Living Hope.”  So I breathe a sigh because my eyes have been focused on gloomy, dreary, world events and not enough on the answer, “Jesus Christ.”

  • Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, (Psalm 33:18)
  • Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet praise Him For the help of His countenance.  (Psalm 42:5)
  • O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is mercy, And with Him is abundant redemption.  (Psalm 130:7)
  • The LORD takes pleasure in those who fear Him, In those who hope in His mercy.  (Psalm 147:11)
  • And I will wait on the LORD, Who hides His face from the house of Jacob; And I will hope in Him. (Isaiah 8:17)
  • Indeed, any hope of overcoming him is false; Shall one not be overwhelmed at the sight of him? (Job 41:9)
  • “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I hope in Him!” (Lamentations 3:24)
  • …so that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; (Acts 17:27)
  • And again, Isaiah says: “There shall be a root of Jesse; And He who shall rise to reign over the Gentiles, In Him the Gentiles shall hope.” (Romans 15:12)
  • who through Him believe in God, who raised Him from the dead and gave Him glory, so that your faith and hope are in God. (1 Peter 1:21)
  • And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. (1 John 3:3)

Jesus, Hope of the Nations

by Brian Doerksen

I have said have hope in the One who made us; stand up and fight, pray, sign petitions to protect our God-given rights (at ACLJ.org). With that in mind, yesterday, one item came to my attention:   Ground Zero Cross, our symbol of hope, is in jeopardy:

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Blessings,

Standing In The Gap

Praying

Praying

…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)

Israelis Moses, Phinehas, and King David are three examples of men standing in the gap against the wrath of the Lord God‘s punishment.

Moses, from the house of the Levites (Priests):

The children of Israel complained and “they said to Moses, “Because there were no graves in Egypt, have you taken us away to die in the wilderness? Why have you so dealt with us, to bring us up out of Egypt?” (Exodus 14:11)

But God delivered the children and opened the Red Sea and they crossed over.  But they again complained “And the people complained against Moses, saying, “What shall we drink?” (Exodus 15:24)

Their complaints spread like wildfire throughout the camp:  “Then the whole congregation of the children of Israel complained against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness.” (Exodus 16:2)

Again the Lord provided for the children:  “So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was. And Moses said to them, “This is the bread which the LORD has given you to eat.

Again and again Moses stood in the gap (prayed to the Lord) for the children of Israel and again and again God delivered them.  Including the time when the children of Israel built the golden calf while Moses was on the mountain receiving the ten commandments:

  • And the Lord said to Moses, “Go, get down! For your people whom you brought out of the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves. They have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them. They have made themselves a molded calf, and worshiped it and sacrificed to it, and said, ‘This is your god, O Israel, that brought you out of the land of Egypt!’” And the Lord said to Moses, “I have seen this people, and indeed it is a stiff-necked people! 10 Now therefore, let Me alone, that My wrath may burn hot against them and I may consume them. And I will make of you a great nation.”
  • 11 Then Moses pleaded with the Lord his God, and said: “Lord, why does Your wrath burn hot against Your people whom You have brought out of the land of Egypt with great power and with a mighty hand? (Exodus 32: 7-11)

Phinehas, the Priest:

The fierce anger of the Lord was aroused against the children of Israel because they were committing the sin of Harlotry:

  • Now Israel remained in Acacia Grove, and the people began to commit harlotry with the women of Moab. They invited the people to the sacrifices of their gods, and the people ate and bowed down to their gods. So Israel was joined to Baal of Peor, and the anger of the Lord was aroused against Israel. Then the Lord said to Moses, “Take all the leaders of the people and hang the offenders before the Lord, out in the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may turn away from Israel.” (Numbers 25:1-4)
  • So Moses said to the judges of Israel, “Every one of you kill his men who were joined to Baal of Peor.” And indeed, one of the children of Israel came and presented to his brethren a Midianite woman in the sight of Moses and in the sight of all the congregation of the children of Israel, who were weeping at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.  Numbers 25:5-6)
  • Now when Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, saw it, he rose from among the congregation and took a javelin in his hand;  (Numbers 25:7)
  • and he went after the man of Israel into the tent and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her body.  So the plague was stopped among the children of Israel. And those who died in the plague were twenty-four thousand.  (Numbers 25:8-9)
  • “Phinehas the son of Eleazar, the son of Aaron the priest, has turned back My wrath from the children of Israel, because he was zealous with My zeal among them, so that I did not consume the children of Israel in My zeal. (Numbers 25:11)

As you can see that Phinehas had a zeal for the Lord, rose up and took action. As a result, the wrath of judgment of the Lord was stopped.  Phinehas gained  the Lord’s confidence and the Lord rewarded him:

  • 12 Therefore say, ‘Behold, I give to him My covenant of peace; 13 and it shall be to him and his descendants after him a covenant of an everlasting priesthood, because he was zealous for his God, and made atonement for the children of Israel.’”

King David Sins:

  • 10 And David’s heart condemned him after he had numbered the

people. So David said to the Lord, “I have sinned greatly in what I have done; but now, I pray, O Lord, take away the iniquity of Your servant, for I have done very foolishly.” (2 Samuel 24:10)

God’s judgment against King David was answered.  He had to choose which of the three judgments to accept for his sin:

  • 11 Now when David arose in the morning, the word of the Lord came to the prophet Gad, David’s seer, saying, 12 “Go and tell David, ‘Thus says the Lord: “I offer you three things; choose one of them for yourself, that I may do it to you.”’” 13 So Gad came to David and told him; and he said to him, “Shall seven years of famine come to you in your land? Or shall you flee three months before your enemies, while they pursue you? Or shall there be three days’ plague in your land? Now consider and see what answer I should take back to Him who sent me.” (2 Samuel 24:11-13)

David did not choose but rather fell at the mercy of the Lord because God’s mercies are great.  So the Lord chose a plague and 70,000 Israelites perished.

  • 15 So the Lord sent a plague upon Israel from the morning till the appointed time. From Dan to Beersheba seventy thousand men of the people died. 16 And when the angel stretched out His hand over Jerusalem to destroy it, the Lord relented from the destruction, and said to the angel who was destroying the people, “It is enough; now restrain your hand.” And the angel of the Lord was by the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite. (2 Samuel 24:15)

Then David stood in the gap, repented to the Lord for his sin:

  • 17 Then David spoke to the Lord when he saw the angel who was striking the people, and said, “Surely I have sinned, and I have done wickedly; but these sheep, what have they done? Let Your hand, I pray, be against me and against my father’s house.” (2 Samuel 24:17)

So the Lord again responded, this time with instructions to build an altar to the Lord:

  • 18 And Gad came that day to David and said to him, “Go up, erect an altar to the Lord on the threshing floor of Araunah the Jebusite.” (2 Samuel 24:18)

King David did build an altar to the Lord and atoned himself for his sins:

  • 21 Then Araunah said, “Why has my lord the king come to his servant?” And David said, “To buy the threshing floor from you, to build an altar to the Lord, that the plague may be withdrawn from the people.” (2 Samuel 24:21)

Sin is sin and there are consequences that the Lord God will judge; however, the judgment can be eased by simply standing in the gap.

Pray for our country, for our stiff necked political leaders, for the House of the Lord, and for our families and friends; seek the face of the Lord; He will reward righteously.

Since God is a merciful God, He will hear from Heaven and heal our land (land is also symbolic for our leaders, families, our churches).

Blessings,

Honor The Lord Thy God

Honor The Lord Thy God

Honor The Lord Thy God

HONOR (Hebr. “kabod”; Aramaic, “yeḳar”; in A. V. used also as translation of “hadar”):  Either the distinction or excellence manifested by a man, or the mark of distinction accorded to him. “Kabod,” when a manifestation of God, is translated “glory” (Ex. xvi. 10, and elsewhere).*

The dictionary defines  Honor as fairness (the absence of deceit or fraud), personal integrity, reverence, high respect, creditable courteous regard, meritorious in rank, high public esteem, fame, the glory to worship (due to God).
Certainly God is due His Honor and more for all that He has done for you (and for me).
Listed below are but a few ways to Honor the Lord, Thy God of your own free will:
Honor The Lord With You:

  • …”and that He will set you high above all nations which He has made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to the LORD your God, just as He has spoken.” (Deuteronomy 26:19)
  • From man to God:  “Both riches and honor come from You,  And You reign over all.  In Your hand is power and might;  In Your hand it is to make great  And to give strength to all.” (1 Chronicles 29:12)
Honor The Lord With Sacrificial Offerings:
  • Why do you kick at My sacrifice and My offering which I have commanded in My dwelling place, and honor your sons more than Me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel My people?’ (1 Samuel 2:29)

Honor The Lord And He Will Honor You (Hold You In High Esteem):

  • …for those who honor Me I will honor,… (1 Samuel 2:30);
  • For You have made him a little lower than the angels, And You have crowned him with glory and honor. (Psalm 8:5); and,
  • His glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him. (Psalm 21:5)

Honor The Lord With Your Possessions:

  • Honor the LORD with your possessions, And with the first fruits of all your increase;  So your barns will be filled with plenty,  And your vats will overflow with new wine. (Proverbs 3:9-10)

Honor The Lord With Your Personal And Professional Time:

  • “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the LORD honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words, (Isaiah 58:13); and,
  • “A son honors his father, And a servant his master. If then I am the Father, Where is My honor? And if I am a Master, Where is My reverence? Says the LORD of hosts To you priests who despise My name. Yet you say, ‘In what way have we despised Your name?’ (Malachi 1:6)

Honor The Lord For His Worthiness:

  • Honor and majesty are before Him; Strength and gladness are in His place. (1 Chronicles 16:27);
  • Bless the LORD, O my soul! O LORD my God, You are very great: You are clothed with honor and majesty, (Psalm 104:1);
  • “You are worthy, O Lord, To receive glory and honor and power; For You created all things, And by Your will they exist and were created.” (Revelation 4:11);
  • And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and under the earth and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, I heard saying: “Blessing and honor and glory and power Be to Him who sits on the throne, And to the Lamb, forever and ever!” (Revelation 5:13); and,
  • After these things I heard a loud voice of a great multitude in heaven, saying, “Alleluia! Salvation and glory and honor and power belong to the Lord our God!  (Revelation 19:1)
Note:   Short change the Lord and you will get yourself short-changed in strength, offerings (His blessings to you), length of days, honor, possessions, time, and most of all your own worthiness.
  • Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. (Proverbs 3:5-6)
*Honor (source:  Jewish Encyclopedia)

Occasionally also when predicated of man (Ps. lxii. 7; Prov. iii. 35); but when coupled with “hod” (= “glory”) it is rendered “honor” (Ps. xxix. 2; Mal. i. 6). From God comes honor to man (I Chron. xxix. 12; Ps. viii. 6 [A. V. 5]; I Kings iii. 13; Dan. v. 18). Honor comes through wisdom (Prov. iii. 16, iv. 8) and fear of the Lord (ib. xxii. 4). “Before honor is humility” (Prov. xv. 33, xviii. 12); the humble in spirit upholds it (Prov. xxix. 33). Honor is due to God (Prov. iii. 9; Mal. i. 6; comp. Isa. xxix. 13; Prov. xiv. 31), to parents (Ex. xx. 12), to the aged (Lev. xix. 32), to the Sabbath (Isa. lviii. 13), and to those that fear the Lord (Ps. xv. 4).

The Sound of Chaos (Tumult)

  • Icon from the Holy Convent of the Annunciation in Ormylia.

Icon from the Holy Convent of the Annunciation in Ormylia.

“I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; A Star shall come out of Jacob; A Scepter shall rise out of Israel, And batter the brow of Moab, And destroy all the sons of tumult.”  (Numbers 24:17)

  • “And in those times there was no peace to the one who went out, nor to the one who came in, but great turmoil was on all the inhabitants of the lands.”  (2 Chronicles 15:5)

Cha·os:

a state of utter confusion or disorder; a total lack of organization or order;  any confused, disorderly mass

Synonyms for Chaos

disarray, jumble, turmoil, tumult.

Antonyms for Chaos

order, peace, calm

My commentary:

Reviewing world events, violence, hatred, uprisings, killings, and cannibalism here in our own USA heralds the sounds of chaos of events:

  • The noise of a multitude in the mountains, Like that of many people! A tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together! The LORD of hosts musters The army for battle.  (Isaiah 13:4)

1.  CAIRO (AP) — “Hosni Mubarak was sentenced to life in prison Saturday for failing to stop the killing of protesters during the uprising that forced him from power last year. But the ousted president and his sons were acquitted of corruption charges in a mixed verdict that swiftly provoked a new wave of anger on Egypt’s streets.

Mubarak was convicted of complicity in the killing of some 900 protesters during the 18-day uprising that forced him to resign in February 2011. He and his two sons were acquitted of corruption charges, along with a a family friend who is on the run.”

2.  US’ Cyber (electronic) War against Iran, Israel’s and the USA’s enemy, to delay Iran from attacking Israel:

  • Do not forget the voice of Your enemies; The tumult of those who rise up against you increases continually.  (Psalm 74:23)
  • For behold, your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate you have lifted up their head.  (Psalm 83:2)

3.  Syrian violence and terrorism:

  •  ”After a heavy night of shelling and killing, United Nations observers led by Deputy Head of UN Mission in Syria Martin Grifith visited the town Houla on Saturday and witnessed the extent of violence that has local people horrified. UN observers counted at least 90 bodies, including at least 32 children under the age of 10. Some killed by artillery shells and other killed at a closer range with small caliber weapons.”

4.  1. Cannibalism attacks in the United States and Canada:

a.  Miami, Florida: a homeless man was attacked Saturday, Ronald Poppo, 65, a homeless guy had his face gnawed “down to the goatee,” as a witness put it, by a zombie-like attacker beside a busy Miami road. Rudy Eugene, 31, hunched over poor Mr. Poppo and growled at cops, before one of them shot him dead;

b. An engineering student in Baltimore, Maryland:  A 21-year-old college student from Kenya accused of killing a housemate told police he ate the victim’s heart and part of his brain after he died;
c.  Montreal, Canada, the Luka Magnotta horror story: a man’s severed foot arrived in the post at Conservative Party HQ in Ottawa. Then a hand was discovered, addressed to the Liberals. The relevant torso was found in Montreal, to go with a snuff video.  Its murderous star is believed to be Magnotta, 29, a porn actor now sought by Interpol;
d.  Anyone remember the Jeffrey Dahmer story?

5.  Arab Spring, 93,000 Coptic Christians Have Fled Egypt and counting:

How much more could the sounds of chaos be heard of violence, terrorism, bizarre cannibalism, or christian persecution, before the return of the Lord Jesus Christ?

Our only hope is in the Lord to save a now immensely corrupt population:

  • Because your rage against Me and your tumult Have come up to My ears, Therefore I will put My hook in your nose And My bridle in your lips, And I will turn you back By the way which you came.  (2 Kings 19:28) –God

I anxiously await the bright Morningstar with His scepter, to batter and destroy the corrupters of this fallen world! Come Lord Jesus!
