30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God. 31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus. 32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David: 33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob for ever; and of his kingdom there shall be no end. (Luke 1:30-33).
The Season is Busy:
Ten days til Christmas! The season is busy. Snow is falling in parts of the country. Around the world, forecasters have predicted rain, possible showers, thunderstorms, and in some areas warm sunshine. Santa from Klausville, North Pole, should just about be ready to plot his course across the world, with Rudolph leading his flying reindeer at the ready!
Just received this report: Federal Express just had an accident trying to get those last-minute gifts out to loyal customers! Oh horror! But don’t worry, their “just in case,” back up Elves System is ready and reloading the packages unto another semi to keep on going! Gives new meaning to the postal promise of “through rain, snow, or sleet!”
Holiday Horror! FedEx Crash Litters NJ Roadway
The Christmas trees have been decorated, the front lawns have been gloriously covered with 1,000 or more sparkling lights in greens, blues, reds, and crystal clear blinking bulbs.
Shoppers continue scurrying around trying to find that last-minute “gift” for a loved one, a friend, a neighbor, the boss–all busy.
Kitchens are working with hearty hands, full-time and in some places overtime, making those tasty chocolate icing cakes, sprinkled cookies shaped in green Christmas trees, stars, Santa’s, reindeer’s, and specially laden dried fruit with nut breads.
In our culture, it would mean making those hot spicy tamales (meat or bean burritos) wrapped in corn husks and freezing them by the dozen, raw, til Christmas morning when they are gingerly taken out and cooked ready for the evening or the following Christmas day.
Oh wise one, don’t worry, we save some for New Years, too, for more “glad tidings” celebration.
Holiday music fills the air in homes, stores, cars whizzing down the streets full blast–singing, singing, singing–yes, yes, yes! People are actually smiling and laughing at each other trying to be kind, thoughtful, and “giving,” after all ’tis the season!
Don’t forget the candy canes laced with that sweet tasting liqueur, guaranteed to add to one’s taste palette–after all, it’s for a good cause–me!
All busy, busy, busy!
STOP! STOP! STOP!
Stop! Stop! Stop! I’m making myself dizzy, with all this scurrying around. But why? Why the rush? Why the celebration? What’s going on? What’s all the frenzy about?
Oh wise one, you ask “Why”?
Have you not heard about Jesus Christ? He’s the One true Son of God straight from Heaven. He’s the One that Father God sent to redeem man back to Him through eternity, so that we would not face forever in the bowels of Hell.
Oh yes, wise one, hell is real–it’s no joke.
Jesus Christ Fulfilled Prophecy:
Jesus Christ fulfilled prophecy. It was written over 2,000 years ago by both apostles Luke and Matthew that the Virgin Mary would give birth to a child, name Him Jesus (the Christ) and in some languages Emmanuel:
- 30 And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
- Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. (Matthew 1:23)
Jesus Christ was born of the Virgin Mary in a manger–that’s what the Christian bible teaches and I believe it. This was approximately 2,000 years ago. You know what wise one? He was nailed to the Cross, died and on that third day He took ALL sin upon Himself and ascended to Heaven.
He won the victory and has the keys of life over death.
Father God was the First Person who gave the gift that keeps on giving…Jesus Christ. That’s what makes us “givers,” for He first gave.
Some people refer to Him as Emmanuel, God with us.
My experience, and first hand knowledge, can sincerely identify Him as a multi-faceted God, much like a diamond, sparkling with His life-giving force. Whichever way He turns, He radiates from His energy, love, mercy, and compassion for humanity.
He is always ready 24/7 to reach out and receive humanity onto Himself. Are you ready? He is calling for you. He invites you to celebrate Him in His Kingdom of Heaven.
Once you give yourself to Him, He guarantees that should you trip and fall from an accident or sin, His angels, not elves, will pick you up lest you dash your feet against a stone.
Unwrap your gift from God, Jesus Christ, the gift that keeps on giving, it’s yours for free.
P.S. I took a sneak peak…Santa is kneeling at the Cross praying to Jesus Christ that all goes well around the world. “Peace onto all mankind,” is what I heard him pray to God. Yes, he did–do you know Jesus Christ?
