A Really Honorable Man
Given the racial tensions and the lack of proper law enforcement circumstances in Baltimore, Maryland and its explosive inter personal relationship conflicts with the public, the same cannot be said here in Corpus Christi, Texas.
With that in mind, “our own” Police Chief Floyd Simpson, died in a single vehicle motorcycle accident Sunday, May 3, 2015.
We are commanded by the Lord to honor those who deserve honor:
- ‘You shall rise before the gray-headed and honor the presence of an old man, and fear your God: I am the Lord. (Leviticus 19:32)
Chief of Police Floyd Simpson:
“Floyd Simpson, a 25-year veteran of the Dallas Police Department who in 2012 became the chief of police in Corpus Christi, died Sunday evening in a motorcycle crash in Port Aransas, according to the police chief there.
Port Aransas Police Chief Scott Burroughs says it’s still early in the investigation, but that the circumstances appear “cut-and-dried.” The accident, he says, occurred around 5:50 Sunday evening.”
