According to the weather, the country continues to be pelted with thunderstorms, an unrelenting downpour of rain, causing massive and, in some areas, catastrophic damage to homes, cars, businesses, and loss of and/or missing family members.
Spawning tornadoes were seen cross-country adding to the massive flooding from drenching downpours in Texas and Oklahoma.

In Texas, NOAA has issued “severe thunderstorms” in the eastern and southern portions of Texas, today, May 30, 2015, as heavy rain continues to pound the state. Flash flood warnings have been issued in parts of northern Texas, parts of Dallas, Tarrant, and Collin counties.
These flash flood warnings also can be added to the already drenched areas of Houston, Texas.
West Dallas County residents are being urged to evacuate to higher ground because of the residential streets were already massively flooded.
“President Barack Obama signed a disaster declaration amid the severe weather, offering federal funding to affected people in Harris, Hays and Van Zandt counties, the White House said in a statement early Saturday. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott had earlier requested a presidential disaster declaration to get federal help for affected counties.” (source: nbcdfw)
Portions of the country are spawning snakes in the cresting river beds and rising lakes and creeks.

Texas Governor Gregg Abbott has increased the number of disaster counties to 70 in an updated Declaration of Disaster:
“I, GREG ABBOTT, Governor of the State of Texas, issued Emergency Disaster Proclamations on May 11, May 15, May 25 and May 26, 2015, certifying that the severe weather, tornado and flooding event that began on May 4, 2015, has caused a disaster in many Texas counties. Local Dead and/or Missing:
The intensive storms are being blamed for killing seven people in Oklahoma and at least 23 in Texas, where 13 remain missing or unaccounted.
Corpus Christi Caller Times has compiled a collage of the victims and still missing members of the three families who were together in Wimberly, Texas, (Hays County) in a home on stilts when an uprooted tree slammed into the piers knocking against the home sending it plunging into the raging Blanco River separating the victims.
- 36-year-old Jonathan McComb–injured with broken sternum, ribs, and collapsed lung requiring surgery.
- 34-year-old Laura Schultz McComb–still missing
- 4-year-old Leighton McComb–still missing
- 6-year-old Andrew McComb–deceased. His body was found Wednesday, and identified on Friday, May 29, 2015
- Maggie, the McCombs dog, wearing her ID collar has been found alive
- 73-year-old Ralph Carey–deceased. He was the homeowner. His body was found on Thursday and identified Friday.
- 71-year-old Sue Carey–still missing.
- 42-year-old Randy Charba–still missing
- 43-year-old Michelle Charba–deceased. Her body was found Tuesday.
- 6-year-old Will Charba–still missing.
Hundreds of volunteers from across Texas have gathered together in Wimberly, Texas, to search for the missing family members, hoping for a miracle.
