Reflections: Israel

Reflections: Israel

Reflecting on Israel and her ongoing war with the Palestinians, digging deeper into her “roots”:

  • Recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s Capital,
  • British Prime Minister David Cameron, likely a descendent of Moses, Israel’s Prophet,
  • Front line Israeli troops, their memories of war with the Palestinians,
  • If Americans Knew…Palestinians vs Israeli war Statistics,
  • Barney Barnato, De Beers Diamond Magnet, in This Day in Jewish History, and
  • a Recap of IDF Humanitarian forces mission in April, 2015, earthquake in Nepal

Congress Wants Obama To Recognize Jerusalem As Israel’s Capital

All in the Family: David Cameron’s Jewish Roots and the Coreligionists Who Brought Him to Power

“While speaking to a 500-strong group of Jewish lobbyists in London in 2007, UK Prime Minister David Cameron declared,(1)I am a Zionist“. He went on to add, “I’m not just a good friend of Israel but I am, as you put it, good for Jews.

And according to Dr Wise, who has been using archival material to examine the Cameron family tree, the Tory leader could also be a direct descendent of the greatest ever Hebrew prophet, Moses.

From If Americans Knew:

{Note:  I am pro-Israel and believe that her Nation has the right to survive, but I am also cognizant that the Palestinians co-exist, sharing the same land but not the same philosophies, and that the current and almost never ending war between them still continues. Below is an article complete with statistical graphs showing a distinct imbalance in areas of the on-going conflict.}

“The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the world’s major sources of instability. Americans are directly connected to this conflict, and increasingly imperiled by its devastation.”

Soldiers Testimony from Gaza

Israeli soldiers talk about the occupied territories.

“The civilian was laying there, writhing in pain”

Either we let him die slowly, or we put him out of his misery. Eventually, we put him out of his misery, and a D9 (armored bulldozer) came over and dropped a mound of rubble on him and that was the end of it …

This Day (June 14) in Jewish History:

Source: “14 June 1897* Diamond Mining magnate, Barney Barnato (44), allegedly commits suicide.

Barnato made his fortune by establishing the Barnato Diamond Mining Company, a rival to the competitive Cecil John Rhodes’ De Beers Company. Eventually, the two companies combined to form De Beers Consolidated Mines Ltd.”

Recap of IDF Humanitarian Mission to Nepal

Recap of IDF Humanitarian Mission in Nepal after the devastating earthquake of April 2015.

Should the Lord God, Jesus Christ, tarries, I pray that He may find me watching for Him.

But in the meantime, we continue to align ourselves with His word, with His commands, and with His blessings.

  • I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” (Genesis 12:3)
  • Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: (Matthew 25:34)
  • Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, will find watching. Assuredly, I say to you that he will gird himself and have them sit down to eat, and will come and serve them. (Luke 12:37)
  • Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you. (Psalm 122:6)

Stay safe. Be blessed.

  1. Resurrection changes identities of locations. It’s no longer history nor current occupancy that identifies a city, but those that dwell there forever.

I went through a somewhat similar experience with my own personal identity. It’s not who I’ve been nor my present condition (such as unconscious, asleep, or physically dead) that identifies me, but it’s The Creator’s recognition of me that gives me identity.

Nations come and go and flags change even more often. Boundaries expand and contract. In history, new cities are often layered upon older ones. Families and individuals relocate. Ghost towns and ruins like Chernobyl are more like the shells, dens, and nests left by wild creatures. It’s not one thing such as birth, that gives citizenship or residency. Tax roles, property holdings, participation in the government or military, including civic duty, declarations of intent…. many such considerations have been used to identify a citizenry. And there may be enclaves, like “China Town” or the “x-sector” or like “The City of David” in earthly Jerusalem. The connotations change with time and power.

Ultimately though — it’s how God sees things that matters. Hear Him to be certain!

      • The “cities yet to come to life” is a quote from the article. It reminds me of the unborn … and all the aborted plans and legacies of abortionists like the Communist Chinese. They’ll reap what they’ve sown — empty and barren.

        • Wow! An Abortion Committee! “I felt some relief knowing that I had a clear ticket out.” Yet, she feels annoyed: “no anonymity over this intimate, difficult matter pertaining strictly to my own body.”

Why do women leave out the most important issue over this very difficult decision? What about the unborn, now unprotected baby’s life?

“A fetus is not considered an autonomous entity?” Entity? It’s a baby! Life is in the blood:

          * life of the flesh is in the blood (Leviticus 17:11)
          * Its blood sustains its life (Leviticus 17:14)
          * be sure that you do not eat the blood, for the blood is the life (Deut 12:23)
          * Why then will you sin against innocent blood? (1 Samuel 19:5)
          * He will redeem their life from oppression and violence; And precious shall be their blood in His sight. (Psalm 72:14)

This is one issue that, as I’ve written in the past, crosses over all boundaries of culture, countries (including Israel), and races.

…bright-red water was concentrated around Chongqing, Southwest China’s largest industrial center…

  2. Considering how the ground has been soaked recently: Houston and Austin should review Rev. 12, Luke 8, and Matt.14…

    Luke 8
22 Now it came to pass on a certain day, that he went into a ship with his disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth.

23 But as they sailed he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy. 24 And they came to him, and awoke him, saying, Master, master, we perish.

Then he arose, and rebuked the wind and the raging of the water: and they ceased, and there was a calm. 25 And he said unto them, Where is your faith? And they being afraid wondered, saying one to another, What manner of man is this! for he commandeth even the winds and water, and they obey him.

    Matthew 14
29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said unto him, O thou of little faith, wherefore didst thou doubt? 32 And when they were come into the ship, the wind ceased.

33 Then they that were in the ship came and worshipped him, saying, Of a truth thou art the Son of God.

There’s more to weather than climate.

    • Nome, isn’t this also the area of the San Andreas fault line? Softening the ground and a small earthquake would definitely cause the line to break open the earth?

        • The fault is s bit east, yes. Between fracking in OK and DFW areas, and the Waco area fault lines… could be a whole lotta shakin’ going on. Esp. if triggered. Nothin’ much natural on the seis charts just now.
