Temple Talk Radio: The Slow Death of Exile: Joseph & the American Jewish Dream

The Temple Institute

“The Meaning of a Fast Day.  Connecting the Dots on the 10th of Tevet: Mourning the Holy Temple & Saying Kaddish for the Holocaust Victims

This week’s special edition of Temple Talk was recorded on the fast day of the Tenth of Tevet. Yitzchak Reuven and Rabbi Chaim Richman contemplate the true nature of a fast day… especially the fast days that commemorate the destruction of the Holy Temple.

Our hosts also discuss the assassination of the arch-terrorist child-murderer Samir Kuntar and its implications for the likes of Mahmoud Abbas, president of the Palestinian Authority, who played a major role in the massacre of 11 Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich summer Olympics…and has been responsible for the death of many, many Jews since the signing of the Oslo Accords. Plus: Isis begins to murder children with Down’s syndrome: an Islamic view of reality.”

Fasting 2016 (January 3-24, 2016)

As some of you know, I do believe in the power of prayer and fasting.  I’ve participated in it yearly for several years and have nothing but high remarks to promote it.

This is a heads up alert that between January 3-24, 2016, Pastor Jentezen Franklin is holding his annual fasting global 21 day prayer event.

Below are links to his vast and various articles and pdf material: bible reading plan, reasons on the why we should fast, biblical history for fasting, why its good for both your spiritual and physical body, etc.

http://www.jentezenfranklin.org/fasting/

Franklin, Jentezen Pastor Fasting Bible Reading Plan 2016

The Year 2016 promises to be a very challenging ‘time changing’ in terms of global economics, the upcoming predicted financial collapse, climate chaotic changes, WW III looming closer to American shores as we have seen it spreading in Europe, the advent of the NWO, UFOs, and loss of ‘freedoms,’ Muslims vs Christianity spiritual battles, Planet 7X, and on and on…

We  have much to pray for–we are at the edges of a disastrous precipice.

…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

Oldest Christmas Carol?

Bill Still

“Good morning. I’m still reporting from Washington. Yesterday a supporter sent me a 1917 Edison records recording of what is perhaps the oldest Christmas carol, God Rest You Merry, Gentlemen. According to Wikipedia, it dates to the 1500s or even earlier.

The carol is referred to in Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, written in 1843.”

Summary:

Jesus Christ is the answer to all of our problems.  Are you saved?  Do you know Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior?

“I am the vine, you are the branches.
He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit;
for without Me you can do nothing.”
{John 15:5 NKJV}

Pray to the One who saves man’s soul from eternal darkness separated from the giver of Life, Jesus Christ.  Ask Him into your heart, repent of your wrongdoings (sin) and accept Him into your daily lives.  He is faithful, He is forgiving, He will save you.

Stay safe. Be blessed.

 …if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet,
and the people are not warned,
and the sword comes and takes any person from among them,
he is taken away in his iniquity;
but his blood I will require at the watchman’s hand.”
{Ezequiel 33:6}

  1. @ fatwa against disabled children…
    – whether agitprop, psyop, or culling
    – so like the nazis and elective aborters
    – “better they should tie a millstone to their necks
    – and cast themselves into the sea”

    likewise those that use bombs or drones to kill innocents

    May The Almighty release what He’s reserved for such as these.

  2. As regards the Holy Ghost…
    – and no doubt answered prayers

    I believe we’re making headway on how to better include ASD’s (autists, aspies) and other hyper-sensitives into church services and work. The basic idea is to be “behind glass” (cp. church nursery or police interrogation rooms). The point is to make that area lower stimulation, possibly darker and definitely shielded from the noises & loudspeakers, crowd motion, smells, and other sense assaults. Since this is relatively low tech compared to cameras and remote access — it will hopefully be more practical. The same accommodation might be extended to workplace or school, regarding classes and meeting rooms.

    That suggests a strategy for “family reunions” and holidays as regards arranging for low stim settings, such as adjacent rooms off a dining room. The idea is to keep the overall sense overloads reduced (that normals so enjoy) to preclude overwhelming flight-fight responses in autists, ADHD, epilepsy, PTSD, and similar. Which then should help with avoiding meltdowns and the need for alcohol, meds, or avoidance to moderate the barrage of overloads.

    Same thing can apply to weddings, funerals, etc. Probably not shopping though, but then there’s off hours such as just opening or overnight. I am so glad the x-mas season is almost over, once again!

  3. The midnight hour and the ten virgins (with and without oil) is probably one of the most misinterpreted scriptures in the bible. Some say the virgins without oil are truly born again Christians who don’t have enough oil in their lamps and get left behind at the rapture, thus making their salvation from the wrath to come all works based salvation. Scripturally speaking, this is inaccurate. Salvation is not based on works. God is not going to leave behind a part of the body to “get purged”. People have already been purged through the blood of Christ on the cross if they have been born again. Going in the rapture must be based totally upon one’s relational standing with God as is the case with salvation itself, not fellowship standing. The virgins without the oil are likely the unsaved, without the spirit of God dwelling on the inside of them. The ones with the oil are the saved, regardless of their fellowship standing with God. One has to remember the audience that Christ was speaking to at the time he spoke this parable.

    Oil represents the Holy Spirit. If one doesn’t have the oil, he/she doesn’t have the Holy Spirit residing on the inside of them that comes with one’s salvation at the moment they become born again. Here is the crucial point and the crucial scripture that proves the above statement concerning the true meaning of the ten virgins parable having to do with the saved and the unsaved, not the “spiritual Christians” as many claim… “But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. And if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the spirit is life because of righteousness (that means the righteousness of Christ has made your Spirit alive to God, not your own righteousness). But if the spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his spirit that dwelleth in you (Romans 8:9-11). This means our quickening will not be based on a Christians “outward righteousness and cleanliness, but on Christ’s righteousness via his spirit (the Holy Spirit) dwelling on the inside of us. I would be tempted to say that for a Christian to try to earn his way into being a part of the rapture is an insult and a slap to the face of God for what he has already accomplished.

    It can’t get any clearer than Romans 8: 9-11.

    • Tell the rest. Job, Abraham, and Joseph certainly were strangers in strange lands or stranger situations.

      The Kingdom of God as a present reality not only during Christ’s incarnation, but in all generations includes creatures great and small, and not just the saved. Those who are saved, are in God’s Kingdom spiritually (in Christ), even though they yet live on earth physically.

      The Armor of God includes the Helm of Salvation, by way of Grace. The rest of the Armor involves more of the Spirit of God, i.e. putting on Christ, growing into the fullness of the stature of Christ, rebuked and chastened lovingly as children of God. More of the Holy Ghost is always available as needed — for those who ask rightly.

      And eventually of course the wicked (in sanctuary) either depart on their own or are cast out, and the Kingdom of Heaven is extended into even this fallen world (till it’s end) — and the new heavens and new earth are established, (world without end).

      1st Corinthians 12:4-7
      (spiritual gifts given to each person, for the good of all)

      Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

      note: How badly Balaam, Ahab, and Jezebel used their gifts and callings, in their offices. Samson, King Saul, David, and Solomon also likewise misused the inheritance.
      compare: All those letters from the apostles and Christ about what needs correction — to the saved, in their lives, families, and gatherings. (not the damned)

      So then, being Saved personally and being in the Kingdom of Heaven(*) clearly differs. Similarly, the realities of being in a family, or that of citizenship, or of residency, or while traveling differ. “In the world, but not of it.”

      * – as with all the other parables of the Kingdom of Heaven (The Tree, the Pearl, the Net, etc)

  4. Elderly Jewish Man Arrested on Temple Mount for “Prayer-Like” Hand Gestures
    The Temple Institute
    Published on Dec 24, 2015

    Dec. 22, 2015: The Israeli police arrested an elderly man for moving his hands in what the police deemed to be a “prayer-like” gesture. When the man was confronted by the police he sat himself down on the Temple Mount ground, refusing to comply, compelling four policeman to lift him up off the ground and carry him off the Temple Mount, He was placed under arrest and released only six hours later.

    One person who commented in the YouTube Channel explains why this elderly Jewish man was ‘arrested’ for ‘prayer-like’ hand gestures:

    “Christmas isn’t of God. No excuse to observe it. It celebrates the birth of Mithras and is a covert celebration of saturnalia. Read Jeremiah 10. It plainly tells us not to observe pagan traditions and describes the ancient idol of a ‘christmas’ tree to the T. Making a pagan day about Him is actually a slap to His face. If we are to worship Him on any special days, let it be His Feast Days.”

    For me, Christmas is everyday! Corporately we celebrate Christmas in the U.S. on Dec 25 and yes we understand this isn’t the day Christ was actually born…but we gather together and no we don’t celebrate the Mithras or Saturn, or even Sun worship and no we don’t worship Christmas trees, but its commensurate with the death of Christ on a wooden Cross.

    We do worship “the Son” of God, Jesus Christ.

  5. Chris Pinto…
    NOTR – Jeremiah & The Christmas Tree – 12.24.15

    Chris discusses the annual controversy over whether or not the book of Jeremiah gives a warning against the celebration of Christmas. When speaking against the ways of the heathen, the Scripture says: “… for one cutteth a tree out of the forest … They deck it with silver and with gold …” (Jeremiah 10:3-4). Is this a warning against Christmas trees? Or does it refer to something else? Also discussed are some of the key passages from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke that refer to the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ.

    Arabiya:
    Sow says he has celebrated the holiday since he was a child. “The two religions, we are in it together,” he said, using a phrase common in Senegalese culture. “We are invited to celebrate holidays like Easter and Christmas, and we invite Christians to celebrate our holidays with us.” Members of the same families may also practice different religions, he said.

    This year is particularly special because the celebration of Moulid al-Nabi, the birth of the Prophet Mohammad, is followed just a day later by Christmas, said Bakary Sambe, an assistant professor at Gaston Berger university in St. Louis, on Senegal’s northern coast.

    “The celebrations symbolize the uniqueness of Senegal, where we are a Muslim majority and where we have a special cohabitation between Muslims and Christians,” said Sambe, also the head of the Observatory on Religions, Radicalism and Conflict in Africa.

    Senegalese of whatever faith get into the Christmas spirit of celebration.

    “For us, it’s a night out!” said Ouli Sanokho, a 23-year-old who works at a call center. “In fact, we celebrate the entire month,” quickly adding that alcohol is not imbibed.

    Ashok Chellani said he is pleased to have a Santa in front of the supermarket he manages. He is Hindu and said he welcomes the month of celebration.

    “We are in this together,” he said, adding that the Santa will be at his shop until Dec. 31. “A festival is a festival!”
